Building a Solid Relationship with God: The Foundation of Spiritual Authority and Power
Building a Solid Relationship with God · Part 3 of 3
Your spiritual weight in the supernatural realm is not determined by how long you pray, but by how deep your relationship with Jesus truly is.
Authentic spiritual power is not produced by religious performance, emotional worship experiences, or the length of time spent in prayer. It is the direct result of a deep, intentional, and righteousness-rooted relationship with God. The depth of your intimacy with Jesus determines your ranking in the spirit realm — and that ranking determines everything.
Teaching Overview
- Number two, knowing Him by His Word, knowing His desires, His likes and dislikes.
- True spiritual authority and power flow from the depth of your relationship with God, not from religious practices or the amount of time spent in prayer.
- Righteousness is not about behaviour — it is right standing with God, established entirely through what Christ has done.
- Thanksgiving is the gateway that opens heaven and the foundation upon which intimacy with God is built.
- Your weight and ranking in the spirit realm determine how angels serve you and how demons respond to you.
Key Distinctions
| Prayer | Praise | Thanksgiving | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | Engaging God with a specific intention and purpose | Lifting God for who He is and what He does | Acknowledging the relationship God established before you received anything |
| Foundation | A reason — a specific desire or goal before God | Response to God's nature and acts | The pre-existing covenant God initiated by giving His Son |
| Opens heaven | Only when rooted in intention and relationship | Part of God's design for those who have relationship with Him | The gate through which heaven is entered |
| Danger when misused | Becomes empty protocol — praying with no reason | Becomes emotionally driven rather than God-directed | Absent when people only approach God for material breakthroughs |
| Relationship to time | Spiritual — cannot be measured by a clock | Spiritual — not measured by duration | Precedes time — rooted in what God did before you arrived |
| Righteousness | Works | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Right standing and right relationship with God | Human effort to earn or maintain God's favour |
| Source | Entirely what Christ has done | What you can achieve |
| How it is counted | By believing God — as with Abraham | By doing or performing |
| Effect on relationship | God harkeneth to the voice of the righteous | Does not establish intimacy with God |
| Worship | Emotion | |
|---|---|---|
| Definition | To kiss or to lick — an act directed toward God in spirit and in the spiritual realm | A feeling produced in the soul |
| Tied to | What God loves | What the believer personally feels connected to |
| Danger | Being sung to self rather than to God | Controlling the worshipper rather than directing toward God |
| True location | In spirit — the realm where God is | The soul — emotionally influenced and easily imposed upon |
| Spiritual Things | Time | |
|---|---|---|
| Nature | Immeasurable — beyond the physical dimension | A created measure operating in the physical realm |
| Relationship | Spiritual things allow time to exist | Cannot measure spiritual things |
| Applied to prayer | A two-minute prayer can carry infinite weight if rooted in relationship | An hour of prayer is not inherently more powerful than two minutes |
| True Power | False Authority | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | The ability to bring God on the scene of a situation | Claiming authority while lacking the relational weight to back it |
| Source | Deep intimacy and weight with God | Religious language and declaration without relationship |
| Result | God enters the situation and changes it | Nothing comes out of it — it remains a claim |
| Example | Elijah calling fire from heaven; the Centurion's faith | Binding and loosing with no fruit |
| Relationship | Performance | |
|---|---|---|
| What builds spiritual authority | Intentional, deepening intimacy with Jesus | Religious practices done out of protocol |
| How God responds | Harkens to the voice of the righteous | May ignore the call |
| Produces | Spiritual weight, angelic assignment, and real results | Emotional experience without supernatural fruit |
The Nature of Righteousness
- Righteousness does not mean behaving in a certain way — it means right standing and being in right relationship with God.
- True righteousness is born entirely from what Christ has done, not from anything a person can achieve or perform.
- Abraham was counted righteous not by sacrificing his son but by the act of believing what God had spoken.
"Righteousness simply means right standing to be in the right place with God. To be in the right relationship with God."
"It has nothing to do with me, it has nothing to do with you. It has nothing to do with what you can achieve. It has everything to do with what Christ has done."
Belief as the Foundation of Intimacy
- The level of your relationship with God directly determines the results you produce in prayer and spiritual engagement.
- You cannot enter a deep place of intimacy with God without believing Him — belief is the very mechanism by which relationship is built.
- When a person's circumstances — financial, health-related, or otherwise — are louder than the voice of God in their life, God regards that person as not truly believing Him, and intimacy is withheld.
"The level of your relationship determines the results that you bring in."
"You can never enter into a deep place or a place of intimacy with God if you don't believe in Him. Believing in God is how you build a relationship and intimate, a solid relationship with God."
Thanksgiving as the Gateway to Heaven
- Thanksgiving is not praise — it is rooted in the relationship Jesus established for your benefit before you ever came into the picture.
- The Bible commands entering His gates with thanksgiving, meaning thanksgiving is the portal through which heaven is opened.
- When people approach God only after receiving breakthroughs or blessings, they have placed conditions on thanksgiving that do not reflect God's prior, unconditional covenant.
"You can never open the heavens. You can never open the portal to heaven. Without having the spirit of thanksgiving."
"Thanksgiving is not praise. Thanksgiving is based on the relationship that Jesus established before you even came in the picture for your benefit."
The Purpose and Intention of Prayer
- Prayer is not a protocol to be observed — it is an intentional engagement with God toward a specific purpose and desire.
- God always asks one question in prayer: why are you praying — what is your reason, your goal, your intention?
- Spiritual things, including prayer, are not measured by time — measuring spirituality by the clock confuses feelings with spiritual reality.
"Spirituality is not the amount of prayer you spend in prayer. It's about what is your point of praying because praying is engaging with God? On what terms? What is your reason?"
"If God was to ask you why you praying? you won't have a reason why you're praying. You'll be praying because you just know that you're supposed to pray."
Spiritual Ranking and Authority
- Your weight and ranking in the spirit realm determine how demons respond to you and how angels serve you.
- Demons will challenge the rank of anyone who has no established ranking in the spirit — authority is not a claim made with words but a position earned through relationship.
- The name of Jesus means His character — declaring it is not a chant but an alignment with the nature and authority of Christ Himself.
"It is about your ranking in the realm of the spirit, because demons will challenge your rank if you have no rank in the spirit."
"Remember the word Anoma when it says in the name of Jesus. It's actually saying in Anoma of Jesus, Anoma means character. It doesn't mean actually chanting the name."
True Power and Angelic Assignment
- True power is not the ability to bind, rebuke, or shout declarations — it is the ability to bring God on the scene of what is happening.
- When you make the Lord your habitation, God dispatches a special unit of His angels specifically assigned to you — not a general angelic presence but a commissioned elite unit.
- Elijah was an ordinary man whose extraordinary results came entirely from his relationship with God — the angel of fire was already assigned to him permanently, not summoned only in moments of crisis.
"True power is the ability to bring God on the scene of what is happening. True power is when you have the ability to invite Jesus in a situation that you want to be changed."
"When you make the Lord your habitation, you make Him your hiding place, you make Him your everything. God selects a special unit of His own angels and He sends them to you."
Knowing God's Word and His Desires
- Knowing God's desires, likes, and dislikes is foundational to building a solid relationship with Him — they determine the terms on which you engage with Him.
- Someone who does not think or reason will never build a relationship with God — relationship requires intentionality and understanding.
- Nothing spiritual happens without intention — you must be deliberate in growing your relationship with God.
"Knowing Him by His Word, knowing His desires, His likes and dislikes. They are very important because they determine the terms in which you deal with the person."
"Somebody who does not think, somebody who does not reason, will never build a relationship with God."
Being In Christ and Christ In You
- Jesus declares that unless you are in Him and He is in you, the full authority of binding and loosing cannot operate in your life.
- There is a transaction beyond receiving the Holy Spirit — the believer must also enter into Christ, not only receive Christ into themselves.
- The Centurion demonstrated this principle without even carrying the Holy Spirit — his understanding of spiritual authority was greater than the religious leaders who physically stood before Jesus.
"Unless you are in me and I in you. You spend so much time saying Holy Spirit, feel me. Feel me, but Jesus is saying, how about you also feel me?"
"If Jesus is who He says He is, He doesn't need to come to my house because He's already in my house."
Key Definitions
Righteousness — Right standing with God; being in right relationship with Him — not a moral or behavioural standard but a positional reality established entirely through the work of Christ.
Thanksgiving — The acknowledgement of the relationship God initiated and established for your benefit before you received anything from Him; the gate through which heaven is entered, distinct from praise.
Worship — Literally "to kiss or to lick" — an act directed toward God in the spiritual realm where He is, not an emotional response tied to songs that make the worshipper feel something.
Anoma (Name) — Character; when Scripture instructs acting "in the name of Jesus," it means operating in the character of Jesus — not chanting His name as though it were a verbal formula.
Spiritual Weight / Ranking — Your established position and authority in the spirit realm, determined by the depth of your relationship with God; the measure by which both angels and demons respond to you.
Numaticos — The ability imparted through receiving the Lord Jesus to become more than merely human — a spirit of supernatural capacity placed within the believer that makes their presence, words, and actions a manifestation of Christ in the earth.
Key Takeaways
- Your relationship with God is the sole determinant of your spiritual authority — no amount of prayer, declaration, or religious activity substitutes for genuine intimacy with Jesus.
- Righteousness is right standing through Christ, not moral performance — understanding this removes the barrier of self-effort and positions the believer to receive God's full attention.
- Thanksgiving opens the portal to heaven — without it, no amount of praise or prayer can unlock the deeper dimensions of God's presence and power.
- True power is bringing God onto the scene — effective spiritual authority is not shouting words at the enemy but having the relational weight to invite God's direct intervention.
- God assigns a special unit of angels to those who make Him their habitation — permanent, commissioned angelic protection and assistance is available to those who build a consistent, deep relationship with God.
Reflection Questions
- If God were to ask you right now, "Why are you praying?" — would you have a clear, intentional answer, or have you been praying out of religious habit without specific purpose?
- In what areas of your life are your circumstances — financially, relationally, health-wise — louder than the voice of God? What does that reveal about the depth of your belief in Him?
- Is your worship directed toward what God loves, or toward what makes you feel emotionally connected? What would it look like to practically shift your worship toward God's desires rather than your own feelings?
- Based on what this teaching reveals about spiritual ranking and weight, how would you honestly assess your current standing in the spirit realm — and what is one intentional step you can take to deepen your relationship with Jesus this week?
- Are you approaching God primarily from a place of thanksgiving for the relationship He established through Christ, or only when you need a breakthrough? How would consistent, unconditional thanksgiving change the way you engage with God?
Prayers and Declarations
"Today I am pouring a new oil upon your head. Something new shall be burnt out of you. Your words shall take residents in the earth. Whatever you say shall be more than a sea. It will have the ability to grow and become a tree that many shall eat from. Release your spirit by the words that I knew. Your presence shall crush the enemy. Your presence will silence every witch and wizard. There has been coming against your life. You are more than just a man. I co-inheritor with Christ. Let that spirit of nomaticos manifest in you."
