Most People Think They're Established — But They're Not

Teaching by Prophet Lovy L. Elias · Watch on YouTube · 23 February 2026

God is moving His people out of the season of up and down and into a permanent, unshakeable state of divine establishment.

Stability and establishment are not the same thing. Most believers are praying for breakthrough but settling for stability — a conditional state dependent on their own effort, strength, and performance. God is now moving His people into something permanent: an established life that no circumstance, no enemy, and no season can shake.

Teaching Overview

  1. God is moving His people from stability — a conditional, effort-dependent state — into establishment, which is permanent and independent of performance.
  2. True establishment manifests across five dimensions: covenant separation unto God's purposes, being rooted and built up in Him, protection from evil, ever-increasing strength, and complete rest in all provisions.
  3. The kingdom of God operates in power, not words alone — faith is built on witnessed demonstration, not merely written scripture.
  4. Grace is not a spiritual gift but what God extends to you so that you can do what He has called you to do, and it can be shared through those who labor together in the same assignment.
  5. Function and God's backing are the true evidence of calling — titles, dreams, and words alone prove nothing.

Key Distinctions

StabilityEstablishment
What it isA conditional state of steadiness dependent on personal effort and performanceA permanent, unshakeable state independent of circumstance or personal strength
What sustains itYour actions, your discipline, your presenceGod's covenant — it holds even when you are absent or unable
What ends itA job loss, an illness, an emotional breakdown, a bad seasonNothing — it cannot be depleted, drained, or reversed
Financial parallelBeing rich — wealth that can be spent, lost, or wastedBeing wealthy — so established that spending millions cannot make you broke
Spiritual parallelSteady while being shakenImmovable — cannot be shaken at all
Kingdom Power vs. WordsFaith built on scriptures read but not experiencedFaith built on witnessed demonstration of God's power
Being Shaken vs. ImmovableYou shake, but remain — you are still present through the shakingYou cannot even be moved — the shaking finds no grip
Function vs. TitleClaiming a calling through dreams, declarations, or a positionDemonstrated through the consistent ability to help, heal, and liberate people God sends to you

The Nature of True Establishment

  • Stability is always conditional — it requires you to fulfill something in order for something to be produced.
  • Being established means that even if you are removed, what God has placed in you and through you continues at the same level or greater.
  • God will at times remove stability from a person precisely because stability has become dependent on their own strength and comfort.

"You venture worked hard enough. The moment you stop working hard, everything falls apart. You are in the realm of stability, you are not yet established."

"To be stable is to be steady when you're shaking. To be established is to be immovable."

Rich vs. Wealthy: The Financial Dimension of Establishment

  • Being rich is a state of stability — wealth that can be spent, lost, and depleted.
  • Being established financially means having such abundance that nothing can deplete it across any number of lifetimes.
  • Many believers pray for breakthrough when they are actually praying only for stability, not for the established state God intends.

"They can spend 10 million every day and you will take 10 lifetimes for them to even know what being broke looks like. That's called being established. That is the difference between being rich and being wealthy."

The Parable of the Prodigal Son: A Picture of Establishment

  • The prodigal son was established but lived like a stable person — he spent what he took as though it were his entire portion.
  • His father's blessing was so complete that what the son took did not diminish the father's household by even one percent.
  • When the son returned, nothing had changed at home — demonstrating that true establishment cannot be wasted, depleted, or permanently lost.

"What you took wasn't even all of it. You saw according to the realm of stability, you are established — all these things are yours. You could have taken the whole thing, but you just took a portion and you realize that what you took was nothing — it can be wasted. But this one can never be wasted."

The Five Realms of Establishment

  • The first realm is covenant: God establishes you as His holy people, separated for His purposes.
  • The second realm is being rooted and built up in Him — not in your own capacity or reputation.
  • The third realm is protection from evil; the fourth is ever-increasing strength moving beyond every season of instability; and the fifth is complete rest in all provisions.

"You'll be established in your health. You'll be established in your finances. You'll be established in your business. You'll be established in your career. You'll be established in your calling. You'll be established in every single thing you lay your hands upon. In the mighty name of Jesus."

Kingdom Power vs. Words Alone

  • The kingdom of God is not in word but in the demonstration of the Spirit and power — faith is grounded in power, not in words.
  • Faith comes by hearing the word of God — and when God sends His word, there is divine manifestation, not merely inspiration.
  • You cannot witness to what you have not experienced — the order is Holy Spirit, then power, then witness.

"Anybody opening the Bible without power is illegally operating in the kingdom of God."

"You shall receive power. And then you shall become my witnesses. The order is this: Holy Spirit, power, and then you witness."

Grace: What It Is and How It Functions

  • Grace is not a spiritual gift — it is what God has extended to a person so that they can carry out what He has called them to do.
  • Grace can be shared — when others join in the same labor alongside the one who carries it, God lends that grace to them as well.
  • If only one person in a ministry can do the work, there is no grace in the house — a one-man show is a sign of something suspicious.

"Grace is not a spiritual gift. What God has extended to you was because you can do it. It's somebody else's that God lent you because you joined in the same labor with them."

"If you ever see a one-man show, just know it's suspicious."

Function and God's Backing as Evidence of Calling

  • Titles, dreams, and declarations do not establish a calling — function and God's backing are the evidence.
  • God truly calls a person by making them a liberator of people and by bringing those people to them.
  • When people come with weak faith and deep unbelief because of suffering, the one who carries genuine grace has the capacity to believe on their behalf.

"Titles don't mean anything. Function and God's backing is evidence."

"If you are graced by God, you have the capacity to faith for somebody that doesn't believe."

The Power of the Cross and True Salvation

  • Salvation is not merely the confession of words — it is the understanding that Jesus died so you do not have to die, and belief in the power of His resurrection.
  • You do not go to heaven because you live rightly — you go to heaven because Jesus died for you.
  • Your righteousness is as filthy rags; it is Jesus' blameless sacrifice that saves, not personal moral performance.

"You don't go to heaven because you live right. You go to heaven because Jesus died for you."

"Your living right means nothing. Jesus living right means everything. It means it's a blameless sacrifice — given up for us — that if we place our trust on Him, we don't perish."

Key Definitions

Stability — A conditional state of steadiness that depends on personal effort, emotional discipline, and circumstantial performance; it can be removed the moment the supporting conditions are removed.

Establishment — A permanent, unshakeable state in which a person's provision, health, calling, and purpose are secured by God's covenant independently of personal performance or presence.

Grace — Not a spiritual gift, but what God has extended to a person so they are able to carry out their divine assignment; it can be shared with those who join in the same labor.

Faith — Not intellectual agreement with written scripture, but trust in God built on witnessed demonstration of His power — seeing what He has done and believing He will do it again.

Function — The demonstrated ability to help, heal, and liberate the people God sends — the actual evidence of a true calling, as distinct from title or position.

Witness — A testimony born of personal encounter with God's power — something unique to each believer that no one can take away and that goes beyond what is common to every person.

Key Takeaways

  • Stability and establishment are not the same thing — praying for breakthrough without understanding this distinction means most believers are only praying to return to a state that can be removed again.
  • God will sometimes remove stability deliberately — He does so not to harm but to transition His people into the permanent state of establishment that depends on His covenant, not their effort.
  • The kingdom operates in power first, then witness — opening the word of God without the power of the Holy Spirit is operating illegally in the kingdom; the order is Spirit, power, witness.
  • Grace is not individual — it is shared through shared labor — a ministry where only one person can do the work is a ministry without true grace; establishment always produces duplication.
  • Your evidence of calling is what you can do for people, not what you say about yourself — God backs genuine calling with the ability to help those He sends, and that function speaks louder than any title or dream.

Reflection Questions

  1. Are you currently praying for stability — for things to stabilize and return to normal — or are you pressing into the established state God is moving you toward? What is the difference in what you are actually asking for?
  2. In what area of your life are you most dependent on your own effort to maintain what you have? What would it look like if God established that area so it no longer depended on your performance?
  3. When you consider the power of the Holy Spirit in your life, can you point to a personal encounter with God's power — something He did for you that money cannot buy? If not, what is standing between you and that experience?
  4. Are you laboring alongside those who carry grace, or are you building something in isolation? What does your current spiritual community say about whether grace is being shared around you?
  5. If someone asked you to prove your calling through function rather than title — to show what God has done through you for others — what would your honest answer be? What does that reveal about where you are in your walk?

Prayers and Declarations

Prayer for Establishment in Calling and Purpose

"Father in the name of Jesus, I pray for all your people. And I pray that whatever their desire is, Father today let them not only receive a miracle, but let them be established in the calling. Let them be established in the purpose. Let them be established in whatever you have given them to do. Father, I pray that there will be always established in the name of Jesus. Established in their healing, established in their finances, established in their destinies, established in every single area of their life in the mighty name of Jesus."

Congregational prayer — spoken over those watching from home:

"Let's pray for those who are home. May this week be a week of freedom, be a week of liberation. If anyone you know has an addiction, play this for them. I deliver you from alcohol addiction. I deliver you from drug addiction. I deliver you from any substance abuse in the mighty name of Jesus. You unclean spirit. Let go of that man. Let go of that woman. Let go of that child. May they be free now in the mighty name of Jesus."

Closing Prayer of Thanksgiving

"Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you for your church. We thank you, Father, for the prayers that have been answered, that haven't even been spoken. We thank you that your power is moved through this place like never before. I thank you, Father, that as your people give, today, Father, may they give with thanksgiving for all that you have done their lives, Father, for all that they have yet to see that you've already established. From today in the name of Jesus, may this be a people of establishment. May this be a people of establishment in their health, in their wealth, in their destinies, may all to do with them be established by your Holy Spirit today. Father, keep them, bless them, surround them, shield them, and give them vision, Father, for the expected end that you've already declared."
