Power in Stars, Crystals, and Precious Metals: Reclaiming What God Created
Everything the devil attacks reveals how much it matters to God — and understanding is the key to reclaiming it.
Evil is not inherent in God's creation — it is a perversion of it. The devil has systematically rebranded God's most significant creations as demonic, from stars to crystals to precious metals, precisely because they carry profound spiritual meaning. The Church's failure to pursue understanding has handed him that ground. This teaching reclaims it.
Teaching Overview
- Knowledge itself is never evil — evil is the perversion of God's revelations and truths through ignorance or misuse.
- The devil strategically attacks and rebrands what is most significant to God, including stars, crystals, and precious metals.
- Precious stones, metals, and celestial bodies are God's creation and reflect His glory — they are found in the foundations of heaven, on the high priest's breastplate, and built into angels themselves.
- Christians have surrendered spiritual understanding by demonizing what they do not understand, allowing the devil to redirect God's creations away from their true purpose.
- The remedy is understanding: when you know the true purpose of God's creation, you can use it to connect yourself to God rather than fear it or misuse it.
Key Distinctions
| God's Story | Your Story | |
|---|---|---|
| Written where | In the heavens and creation | Projected onto creation by the devil's perversion |
| What it declares | His glory | Self — "I, me, me, me" |
| Directed by | God's sovereign purposes | Horoscope culture and demonic manipulation |
| Effect on purpose | Keeps you aligned with God | Causes you to lose purpose in God the moment it becomes about you |
| Knowledge | Perversion | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Neutral — just knowledge | The misuse of truth by those who lack the maturity to govern it |
| Origin | From God | From within the one who acquires it, not from the knowledge itself |
| Example | The tree of knowledge of good and evil | The devil corrupting his own wisdom |
| Solution | Understanding | Getting understanding in all you get |
| Heaven's Purpose | Devil's Perversion | |
|---|---|---|
| What it does | Points creation back to God's glory | Redirects creation toward self or independence from God |
| Strategy | Reveals God through stars, stones, metals | Makes it about you or makes it independent of God |
| Result in the believer | Connection to God and spiritual freedom | Fear, demonization of God's creation, and loss of spiritual freedom |
| Example | Jasper as the first foundation of heaven | Crystals branded as witchcraft and occult objects |
Knowledge Has No Evil in Itself
- There is no such thing as evil knowledge — knowledge is just knowledge; what determines the outcome is what is done with it.
- God has never planted anything evil; the tree of knowledge of good and evil was not a bad tree.
- The problem is not the knowledge itself but whether the one who acquires it is mature enough to govern it.
"Evil is a perversion of the revelations and the truths of God. The perspective of the knowledge of why you're doing it determines whether it's perverted or not."
The Danger of Demonizing What You Do Not Understand
- When believers lack understanding, the first thing they do is prevent what is not supposed to be prevented — and that is the root of corrupting everything God gives.
- Whatever the devil takes time to attack and pivot must be of great importance in the sight of God, because he is a heavenly being who knows the value of things most people on earth do not.
- The Church has demonized crystals, stars, and precious stones not because they are evil but because believers are weak in understanding the purposes of God.
"If the devil will look at something and decide to attack it and make it something else, you have to understand there is an importance in that thing."
God Is a Spirit — Not a Religious Label
- God is a spirit; the word "Christian" simply means follower of Christ and was originally coined as an insult after the crucifixion.
- Jesus called His followers disciples — people who are consistently and continually growing, with no ceiling placed on their learning.
- Even in heaven the learning does not end, because God is infinite — heaven is not a new beginning but a continuation of a life lived toward God.
"There is no ceiling to discipleship. The moment you put a ceiling, you have determined what it is and that's not what God wants it to be. Even when you make it to heaven you're still learning."
Stars, Birth, and the Sovereign Knowledge of God
- The wise men from the East did not discover Jesus through prayer or fasting but by tracking His star — and by it they knew who He was, His assignment, and where He would be born.
- God tells the number of the stars and calls them all by their names; every star has a name, and God never creates anything by accident.
- Every person is born with a star, and that is the basis on which Satan attacks — Satan cannot see the future except what God has revealed.
"So if the stars or a star could completely reveal the story of the Lord Jesus, who He is, what He has come to do? Everyone of you is born with a star. Before you came into this world, everyone."
The Heavens Declare His Glory — Not Yours
- The heavens declare His glory, not our glory — the story written in the stars is God's story, not the story of man.
- Every time you look at the heavens you are looking at the past, not the future — some stars visible now died billions of years ago; what the wise men saw was already a written spiritual truth.
- The devil's strategy is to make God's creation about you — horoscopes have redirected the declaration of God's glory into "I, me, me, me," and the moment something becomes about you, you lose purpose in God.
"When the devil wants to pivot something, he either makes that thing independent of God, or he makes it about you. He knows you like self because he himself fell because of self. When it becomes about you, you lose purpose with God."
Precious Stones in the Architecture of Heaven
- The foundations of the heavenly city in Revelation 21 are garnished with all manner of precious stones — jasper, sapphire, emerald, crystal, topaz, amethyst, and more.
- The gold of the heavenly city is so pure it appears as glass — far beyond 24-karat, representing a purity impossible to fully replicate on earth.
- The foundations of heaven being made of these stones confirms two things: they have spiritual meaning, and they are of great value to God — because the foundation must always be more important than what is built on top.
"Do you think God is foolish to build the foundations of heaven on these stones? And to use the first stone, He mentions, He says, this is the foundation, this is what everything is built on. It means it has a spiritual meaning. That's absolute. It's of great value to God. Absolutely."
The High Priest's Breastplate and Divine Order
- God commanded that the high priest wear a breastplate of judgment set with four rows of precious stones — sardius, topaz, carbuncle, emerald, sapphire, diamond, and more — each engraved with the name of one of the twelve tribes of Israel.
- Wearing this breastplate gave the priest the power to judge and to minister before God — the stones were not decorative but functionally tied to priestly authority.
- God specified which craftsmen were to build it, what materials to use, and that Aaron and his sons must wear it when ministering — these were deliberate divine instructions, not cultural customs.
"God is putting the breastplate of judgment, meaning every time the priest put that on, they have the power to judge, they have the power to minister not only before God but they have the power to judge."
The Conductor Principle: Created Things as Channels
- Anointing oil has no power in itself — olive oil can be used to cook — but God chose it because it is a good conductor of His power.
- In the same way, precious stones and metals do not contain independent spiritual power; their power lies entirely in pointing toward God, connecting the created to the Creator.
- Angels and the cherubim literally have precious stones built into them — God instructed Solomon to engrave the cherubim in the temple with precious stones because that is how He created them.
"Olive oil just conducts the power of God, because that's what He made it for. It's not because olive oil has power — it's because it's a good conductor."
Reclaiming God's Creation Through Declaration
- When you recognize that jasper is the first foundation of heaven, you can place it in your home and declare over it that the foundation of your house is Christ — you are not worshiping the stone but using it to connect yourself to heaven.
- Stones are meant to declare God; as Jesus said, if His people do not praise Him, even the stones will cry out — they are already praising Him because they are a reflection of His world.
- Satan's greatest tool is witchcraft, which is manipulation — when you fall under the spell of witchcraft, everything God made becomes demonic in your mind, and your spiritual freedom is progressively lost.
"You start looking at stones and you see demons. You start adoring stones, whose duty is to declare God."
Key Definitions
Knowledge — Neutral information with no inherent moral value; what determines whether it is good or evil is the maturity and intent of the one who governs it.
Perversion — The corruption of God's revelations and truths by those who lack the understanding or character to steward them rightly; perversion is never in the created thing itself but in the one who misuses it.
Witchcraft — Manipulation; specifically, the spiritual mechanism by which Satan causes people to believe that what God made one way is actually another way, turning good into evil and evil into good in the mind of the believer.
Discipleship — The continuous, lifelong, and even eternal process of growing in the knowledge and nature of God, with no ceiling placed on learning; what Jesus called His followers to, as distinct from the cultural label "Christian."
Conductor — A created thing that carries or channels God's spiritual power without possessing that power independently; olive oil and precious stones function as conductors, not as sources.
Character — The moral and spiritual qualities of a person that can be changed and developed through growth; distinguished from personality, which is God-given at birth and consistent among those born in the same season.
Key Takeaways
- Evil is never in the created thing — it is always in the perversion of it — this means no object, stone, metal, or celestial body is inherently demonic; the question is always whether it is being directed toward God or away from Him.
- Whatever the devil aggressively attacks is of the greatest importance to God — this principle reframes every area where the Church has been told to fear or avoid something: the attack itself reveals the value.
- Precious stones, crystals, and metals are found in the foundations of heaven, on the priest's breastplate, and in the bodies of angels — they are not occult objects but reflections of God's glory entrusted to His creation.
- The heavens declare God's glory, not your story — when creation becomes about self, that is witchcraft's work; the remedy is redirecting the purpose of created things back to the declaration of His glory.
- Understanding is the only antidote to demonization — the moment you understand what God made something for, you can reclaim it, declare its true purpose, and use it to connect yourself to heaven rather than fear it.
Reflection Questions
- In what areas of your life have you automatically labeled something "demonic" or "occult" without ever searching the Scriptures to understand what God originally created it for?
- The devil's primary strategy is making God's creation about you rather than about God. Where in your spiritual life has something that should declare God's glory quietly become about your identity, your personality, or your story?
- If the things the devil most aggressively attacks are the most important to God, what does the enemy's obsession with your specific fears or blind spots reveal about where God wants to do something significant in your life?
- What would it look like practically this week to take something in your environment — a stone, a natural material, a created thing — and deliberately declare its true spiritual purpose rather than ignoring it or fearing it?
- Are you growing as a disciple with no ceiling, or have you placed a ceiling on what God can reveal to you — and if so, what belief, tradition, or fear is forming that ceiling?
Prayers and Declarations
Teaching example of how to redirect a stone's purpose in prayer:
"Lord, this stone is declared to be the first foundation of heaven. Father, I am reminded of the foundation of heaven. Let this stone represent in my house that my house is built on the foundation of... Let the foundation of this house be Christ."
Teaching example of how to pray from the wisdom of a serpent:
"Father, today I pray. Give me wisdom to move in silence like a serpent."
