The Anointing Within Revealed: Flowing with God's Power Through Spiritual Intelligence

The anointing within you is already established — but without spiritual intelligence and cultivation, you will remain powerless even with the Spirit of God upon you.

Spiritual intelligence is not optional for the believer — it is the very capacity through which God's power flows and is understood. Without it, believers misidentify God's workings as demonic, remain confused by the Holy Spirit's interactions, and fail to access what has already been placed within them. God has ordained specific channels — man, the Holy Spirit, and Scripture — through which He cultivates His people, and flow with Him begins with understanding these channels.

Teaching Overview

  1. Spiritual intelligence and understanding are required to flow with God's power — without them, you remain powerless even when the Spirit is upon you.
  2. God teaches His people through three ordained channels: man (spiritual fathers and shepherds), the Holy Spirit, and Scripture — and none of these can be bypassed.
  3. The Holy Spirit only goes where the Father has already anointed — the anointing always precedes the coming of the Spirit.
  4. Spiritual maturity is not independence from God but total dependence on the Holy Spirit and obedience to what He reveals.
  5. The trials, pain, and wilderness seasons of a believer's life are divinely ordained to activate and draw out what God has already placed within them.

Key Distinctions

ManHoly SpiritScripture
Role in teachingFirst encounter with God's instruction; brings you to salvation and perfects you in the faithTeaches all things; brings to remembrance what Jesus has said; introduces prophetic experiencePoints to Jesus; ultimate authority but does not carry life independently
When it operatesFrom the beginning of the believer's journey through appointed shepherds and spiritual fathersAfter anointing has been placed by the Father; goes only where the Father has already selectedContinuously available, but comprehension and life require engagement with Jesus Himself
What it requires from youSubmission and humility to those God has placed over youSpiritual cultivation and prophetic sensitivity to incline the ear to His voiceA heart that recognises Scripture as a map pointing to Christ, not the destination itself
What happens without itBelievers wander without perfection, vulnerable to false doctrine and spiritual vagabondryBelievers are confused by the Holy Spirit's interactions despite having Him withinBelievers seek life in the text alone and miss the living Person the text reveals
Biblical examplePaul sent to Ananias; Jesus posing questions to teachers in the templeSons and daughters prophesying when the Spirit falls; the Spirit taking of Christ and revealing HimJesus telling the Pharisees: "You search the scriptures thinking you find life, but they only point to Me"
AnointingHoly Spirit
What it isThe Father's sovereign selection and setting apart of a person for a specific workThe Spirit who comes upon and indwells the one already selected and set apart
Which comes firstThe anointing precedes the Spirit's comingThe Holy Spirit follows where the Father has already anointed
Biblical basis"I have found My servant David with My own holy oil, I have anointed him" — David was already killing lions and bearsThe Spirit came upon David when Samuel anointed him, confirming what was already established
What "Christ" meansAnointed and set apart — a title, not a nameThe Spirit that rests upon the Anointed One
Implication for believersBeing called "Christian" means you have been set apart by the Father to follow ChristThe Holy Spirit within you is evidence of the Father's prior election and anointing
Carnal MindSpiritual Mind
Relationship to spiritual thingsCannot interact with or understand the SpiritDiscerns and comprehends spiritual things because it is spiritually cultivated
Response to the unknownAttributes everything not understood to the devil or demonic activityCompares spiritual things with spiritual things and flows with God's movement
Result for the believerConfusion when the Holy Spirit moves; powerlessness despite having the SpiritAbility to incline the ear to the Holy Spirit and receive prophetic experience
Biblical examplePharisees declaring Jesus cast out demons by the prince of demonsThe people of Nineveh — outside the covenant yet spiritually conscious enough to recognise and submit to a Supreme God

OriginGod alone — no human being can impart or create itFlows from the calling but is released at God's appointed time
TimingSet before birth and before public consciousness of GodBegins when God gives the instruction to move publicly
Who confirms itThe Lord Jesus Christ aloneGod confirms through signs that follow and people who are drawn
What man's role isMan solidifies and equips what God has already establishedMan helps position and sharpen the called one through spiritual fathering

Spiritual Intelligence Is Required to Flow with God

  • Understanding spiritual things is not automatic — without it, a believer remains powerless even when the Spirit of God is upon them.
  • When God confirms words by signs that follow, it is because the believer understands the protocol of how God moves — this is not random but relational.
  • Without spiritual intelligence, a believer will misidentify God's workings as witchcraft and miss everything God has prepared for them.

"If you don't understand the flow of how God moves, you will think everything is witchcraft. And you will miss out on everything that God has for you."

Believers Are Already in an Advantageous Position

  • Revelation is progressive, not changing — what Moses knew and what believers know today is the same thing, but with a deeper depth given by grace.
  • Moses was under restriction; believers today have liberty by the Spirit of God because they are co-heirs with Christ.
  • Grace is not something believers must beg for as Moses did — it is their heritage, already available and already established.

"We are already in an advantageous position, but why was Moses more spiritually intelligent than you and me?"

The Ancient World Was More Spiritually Conscious

  • The ancient world was more spiritually conscious than the modern world — many who came before were spiritually intelligent because they were not ignorant of spiritual things.
  • The people of Nineveh did not serve Elohim or know Yahweh, yet when a prophet came they understood there was a Supreme God and repented — because they could compare spiritual things.
  • A spiritual person will understand spiritual things; there is a spiritual intelligence that every child of God, especially one who has the Holy Spirit, ought to possess.

"The people of Nineveh who stand against you on judgment day. For if they had seen what you are seeing, they would have repented."

The Danger of Attributing God's Works to the Devil

  • Many believers have no spiritual consciousness except to identify demonic activity — everything they do not understand is attributed to Satan.
  • Those who are spiritually blind attribute the works of the Holy Spirit to demonic power, just as the Pharisees declared that Jesus cast out demons by the prince of demons.
  • A wizard will never preach Jesus, call for submission to the Holy Spirit, or instruct people to forgive their enemies — to declare otherwise is foolishness according to the standard of Scripture.

"I have never seen a wizard preach Jesus, saying submit to the Holy Spirit, follow after Jesus, forgive your enemies. Or 100, 1000% a wizard, you are foolish."

The Three Ordained Channels of Teaching

  • God teaches His people through an ordained sequence: first through a man, then through the Holy Spirit, and through Scripture — none of these channels can be bypassed.
  • The five-fold ministry gifts were given specifically for the perfecting of the body — you cannot be perfected by Scripture unless a man is involved.
  • Jesus Himself, the Son of the living God, went to the temple, asked questions, learned obedience through submission, and grew in wisdom and stature — modelling that even the called must go through a process.

"You clearly know they have never read the Bible. Because if they truly read scriptures, they would understand their need for a pastor."

Scripture Points to Jesus but Does Not Carry Life in Itself

  • Scripture is the ultimate authority, but it does not carry life independently — Jesus declared, "You seek the scriptures thinking you find life in them, but they only point to Me."
  • There is a gap between reading Scripture and engaging with Jesus Himself — that gap must be filled by a living encounter with the Person the text reveals.
  • Salvation is not about what you do but about what He has done — if works of the flesh contribute to salvation, the cross is rendered useless and of no effect.

"You seek the scriptures thinking that you find life in them, no, you won't. They only point to me."

The Holy Spirit Only Goes Where the Father Has Anointed

  • The presence of the Holy Spirit is always because He has anointed you — the Holy Spirit only goes where the Father has already placed His anointing.
  • David was already killing lions and bears before Samuel came — the anointing was already on him, and the Holy Spirit's coming confirmed what the Father had established.
  • "Christ" is not a name but a title meaning anointed and set apart — to call yourself a Christian is to declare that the Father has set you apart to follow Christ.

"The Holy Spirit only goes where the Father has anointed. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me because He had anointed Me."

For the Holy Spirit to Teach You, You Must Be Spiritually Cultivated

  • Many believers have the Spirit of God within them but have no ability to incline their ear to where the Holy Spirit speaks.
  • The Holy Spirit introduces a prophetic experience — when He comes upon a person, sons and daughters prophesy, because the Spirit of the Lord makes Jesus known.
  • If a believer is not cultivated prophetically, they will have a hard time understanding the Holy Spirit, and will be confused by His interactions even though He dwells within them.

"If you have the Holy Spirit but you have not been spiritually cultivated, guess what? You will be confused by the interactions of the Holy Spirit."

Spiritual Maturity Is Total Dependence on God

  • Spiritual maturity is not independence from God — it is total dependence on the Holy Spirit, receiving instruction on what to do from God alone.
  • If you can manufacture a solution by yourself, you are not yet spiritually mature — the Lord Jesus is the picture of spiritual maturity, doing only what the Father showed Him.
  • The decisions of your life must be made based on what God tells you, not on external sources, trends, or advice from social media.

"Spiritual maturity is not independence from God, rather total dependence on the Holy Spirit."

Pain, Wilderness, and Trouble Are Divinely Ordained

  • Deliverers must go through the wilderness — Moses, Jesus, and Joshua all did — because the wilderness is where those sent to free nations are equipped.
  • Pain pushes a believer to grow, but if not properly received, it will push them toward bitterness instead of advancement.
  • What killed others is not killing you, and what drowned others is not drowning you, because God is pulling something specific out of you that the world will need.

"That is why what killed others is not killing you. That is why what drowned others is not drowning you. Somehow you're still surviving. Even though it does not make sense. But it does make sense because God is pulling something out of you."

The Anointing Within You Will Find What It Needs

  • When you are anointed, you will not go looking for what God has called you to — it will come to you.
  • The things that consistently pull you reveal what you are called for and what gift has been ordained for you.
  • There is something special established in you that the enemy cannot take away — and it is wisdom to ask God to open your eyes to see and use it.

"There is something special in you. And nobody can take away what God has established in you."

Key Definitions

Spiritual Intelligence — The cultivated capacity to discern, understand, and flow with how God moves — without it, a believer remains powerless even when the Spirit of God is upon them.

Anointing — The Father's sovereign act of selecting and setting a person apart before the Holy Spirit ever comes upon them; the foundation upon which the Spirit's presence rests.

Christ — A title, not a name, meaning anointed and set apart; to be called a Christian is to declare that the Father has set you apart to follow the Anointed One.

Spiritual Maturity — Not independence from God, but total dependence on the Holy Spirit — doing only what God reveals, as Jesus only did what He saw the Father do.

Co-heir with Christ — The position of the New Testament believer, who shares in what has been given to Jesus; unlike Moses who had to beg for grace, the co-heir already possesses it as a heritage.

Prophetic Experience — The encounter that begins when the Holy Spirit comes upon a person and makes Jesus known — sons and daughters prophesy because the Spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus.

Key Takeaways

  • Spiritual intelligence is required to flow with God's power — without it, even a Spirit-filled believer will be confused by God's workings and mistake them for demonic activity.
  • God teaches through three ordained channels: man, the Holy Spirit, and Scripture — bypassing any of these channels leaves a believer unable to be perfected and positioned for their calling.
  • The Holy Spirit only goes where the Father has already anointed — your calling was established before you were conscious of God, and the Spirit's presence confirms the Father's prior selection.
  • Spiritual maturity is total dependence on God, not independence from Him — the Lord Jesus modelled this by doing only what the Father showed Him, never acting from His own initiative.
  • Your pain, trials, and wilderness seasons are divinely designed to draw out what God has placed within you — what is killing others is not killing you because there is a specific grace within you that must be activated.

Reflection Questions

  1. When something in your life does not make sense spiritually, is your first response to attribute it to the devil — or do you seek to understand how God may be moving through it?
  2. Who is the ordained man God has placed in your life to perfect and equip you? Are you genuinely submitted to that channel, or are you trying to be perfected by Scripture alone?
  3. If the Holy Spirit only goes where the Father has already anointed, what does your current spiritual life reveal about whether you are cultivating sensitivity to His voice — or simply assuming proximity to Him is enough?
  4. What are the things that consistently pull you — the needs, the people, the problems that find you without you searching for them? What do they reveal about what God has placed within you?
  5. What has your wilderness season — your pain, your rejection, your unanswered questions — been preparing you to carry? What would change if you stopped resisting it and began embracing it as divine preparation?

Prayers and Declarations

[Congregational prayer — Prophet led the congregation to echo each line:]

"Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you for your grace and your mercy, that even in times of trouble and even in our own errors, Father, you're still working out things for my good. Father, you're still working out things for my good. Father, you're still working out things for my good.

Father, in the name of Jesus, look upon me today with mercy. I have lost so much time fighting against the darkness. Not understanding that the darkness comes so that I may shine.

Lord Jesus, you say it, we are the light of the world. Lord Jesus, you said we are the light of the world. And light cannot shine without darkness. Because light will cast away all darkness. Because light will cast away all darkness.

So the darkness in my life is forcing me to manifest you. The only thing that will drive the darkness away is when I illuminate your glory. When I illuminate your virtues, then the darkness will be cast away.

Father, you are waiting on me! The Father you're waiting on me! The whole time I was waiting on you! The whole time I was waiting on you! But you placed the anointing within me! Place your anointing within me! You placed the Holy Spirit within me! Place the Holy Spirit within me to perform a work within me that I may be changed externally. So Father, today I embraced the darkness because I know you will not leave me in that place. Because I know that you will not leave me in that place, Father. I know that your glory will shine from that place. Glory will shine from that place. So Father I surrender myself in your perfect will. Your will be done. Holy Spirit, your will be done.

I embrace the dark and the waves, the work that you are doing in me. It's totally for the glory. I embrace the dark and the waves. Let your will be done. Let your will be done. Let your will be done. Let your will be done. Let your will be done.

Your will on my children, your will on my business, your will on my life, your will on my future, your will on my spouse.

Holy Spirit, open my eyes. Holy Spirit, unlock my understanding. Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit. Spiritual understanding. Holy Spirit. Give me spiritual intelligence that I may see what the Father has placed in me, which is of great benefit to those who are around me.

Father, in the name of Jesus, Father in the name of Jesus, activate and stir up what is inside of me. The gift that is in me. By the Holy Spirit, Father stir it up.

That which you have been waiting for us to manifest. I know the level of expression of your glory, I know the place to express your power, I know the place to express your spirit, Holy Spirit!"

"Father, release it on him. In the name of Jesus."

"Father, in the name of Jesus, fresh oil upon my head. Fresh oil upon my head. Fresh grace upon my head. Fresh grace upon my head. Fresh oil upon my head. Fresh grace upon my head. Fresh oil upon my hand. Fresh grace upon you.

God, in the name of Jesus, the name of Christ, the name of my hand. Fresh oil on my hand. Fresh oil on my hand."

"Mighty name of Jesus. Mighty name of Jesus. Mighty name of Jesus. Mighty name of Jesus.

Father, complete freedom in every corner of our life, in every area of our life. May there be total liberation, total liberation, total liberation. In Jesus' mighty name."

"Father, may your name be lifted. May your name be lifted among your people. Not only now, but eternally. For your love for your people is so great. And your love for your people is everlasting.

Father, touch those who are online, Father, touch those who are present with us. Change the lives of your people. Review your grace upon them and bring them to the place of their calling. Father, touch everybody."

"Whatever that need is, understand that God has met you. And there is a change that has come in the mighty name of Jesus."
