The Footstool Revelation: Shifting From Relief to Victory in Heavenly Places
You are not seated in heavenly places to beg for scraps — you are seated above principalities and powers, and every enemy has already been placed under your feet.
The revelation of the footstool is not a metaphor. It is a divine principle woven into the fabric of kingship — one that ancient kings practiced literally and that the Lord Jesus fulfills completely. As believers seated with Christ in heavenly places, the call is not to seek relief from circumstances but to walk in total, comprehensive victory over every area of life.
Teaching Overview
- The prophetic is an unsurpassed authority because it comes to give solutions.
- God always expresses Himself through the cultural lens of the people He is reaching, but the message and intent remain the same.
- Most believers are dedicated to relief rather than complete victory.
- Prosperity and blessing are God's design for those who receive salvation.
- Believers seated in heavenly places must declare the Word from a position of victory, not hope.

The Prophetic as Unsurpassed Authority
- The prophetic is an unsurpassed authority because it comes to give solutions — this is why the enemy hates everything connected to the prophetic.
- The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ — whenever there is true prophecy, Jesus Himself is testifying through signs, healings, open eyes, and resurrection power.
- From Genesis to Revelation, every dispensation and every change of season was announced by the prophetic.
"When you encounter the authentic spirit of prophecy, you are meeting Jesus Christ Himself — forget the flesh, there is somebody beyond that flesh, there is somebody beyond that soul, there is somebody beyond the weaknesses of the vessel you see — it is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, it is the Lord Jesus Himself."
Jesus as Prophet
- Moses prophesied the coming of the Messiah with the words: "God will give you another prophet, likened unto me" — establishing that Jesus came not only as Lord and Savior but also as Prophet.
- When people asked who Jesus was, they identified Him as a great prophet because they saw the fingerprint of the Lord in every prophet who came before — no prophet came of their own accord, but by the Spirit.
- The spirit of prophecy unites every true prophet throughout history under one source: the Spirit of Christ.
"The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ."
Knowledge Versus Revelation
- It is one thing to know the Word of God; it is another thing to receive revelation of the Word of God; and it is yet another thing to see the Word of God in action.
- Revelation makes the Scripture alive — but seeing something for yourself increases your faith and your zeal for God in ways that knowledge alone cannot produce.
- Foolish zeal is zeal rooted in nothing; but zeal in the Holy Ghost means God has shown you something — your fire is anchored in divine revelation.
"It is one thing to know the word of God. It is another thing to receive revelation of the word of God. And it is another thing to see the word of God in action, having the revelation of that word."
God's Expression Through Culture
- God does not change His message, but He changes the expression of that message according to the cultural language and understanding of the people being reached.
- You can be anointed and appointed, but if you lack the expression of the people in your time, your message will fall on deaf ears — because God is responsible for the message, but not for the expression.
- Jesus used the language of seeds, farming, and sowing because that was the vocabulary of the people of His day — He expressed eternal truth through the familiar, so that they could receive it.
"God is responsible for the message. He's not responsible for the expression. Because God is spirit."
God Meets You Where You Are
- God will always meet you at the point of your need — not because He is limited to that level, but because that is where you can understand Him.
- When God changes your financial situation, heals your body, and opens doors for you, He is not simply blessing you — He is expressing to you that He is God, in the language your current understanding can receive.
- After meeting you where you are, God calls you out of the familiar and into the unfamiliar in order to expand your vocabulary in the Spirit and lift you to a greater picture of who He is.
"God will always meet you at the point of your need. You need to do this. Because that is where you can understand. And when He wins you where you are, it begins to show you there is more beyond where you are."
The Revelation of the Footstool
- When the guide at the Egyptian museum explained that all the engravings on the throne's footstool were pictures of the king's enemies — so that every time the king sat, he placed his feet on his enemies — the entire revelation of Psalm 110 came alive in a new dimension.
- The kings of Egypt did not stop at the footstool; some kings placed the faces of their enemies under their sandals so that every step they walked, they were literally walking on their enemies.
- What believers interpret metaphorically — "I make thine enemies thy footstool" — was a full-time, literal dedication to victory that ancient kings practiced without ceasing.
"Every time he sat on the throne, he put his feet on his enemies."
Believers Seated in Heavenly Places
- The believer filled with the Holy Spirit is already seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus — above principalities and powers — yet many live as though they are standing in defeat in the physical realm.
- Ephesians 2 declares that God has raised believers up together and made them sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace.
- The revelation of the footstool demands a shift: stop living as someone seeking relief, and begin walking as someone who already occupies a position of total victory.
"You are sitting but in the physical realm you are standing. I realize that most of us are looking for relief. We are not ready for victory."
Relief Versus Victory
- Most believers are dedicated to relief — asking God to resolve one pressing need — rather than claiming the comprehensive victory God has already given over every area of life.
- "All things" means every area of life is settled, increased, transformed, and restored — not some things, not one area, but all things.
- When a believer's highest prayer is limited to paying one bill, something is out of alignment with the position they already occupy in Christ.
"Most of us are dedicated to relief, not to victory."
Prosperity, Blessing, and God's Design
- False humility that rejects God's blessings is a lie from the pit of hell — the Bible declares that Jesus became poor so that through His poverty, believers might be rich.
- The gospel is about salvation, but when salvation is received, everything else follows — God has never said He does not want His people to have the blessings of this life.
- The soul must be developed to carry the wealth God desires to give — "May you prosper even as your soul prospers" — which means spiritual growth and material blessing are meant to move together.
"The gospel is not about riches. The gospel is about salvation. But when you receive salvation, everything else will be worth it. God never said I don't want you to have these things."
Declaring From Victory, Not Hope
- When you pray and declare the Word of God, do not do it from a place of hope — do it from a place of victory, because it has already been given to you.
- The Holy Spirit gives utterance — the believer's role is to receive that utterance with a heart like a child, allowing the heavenly language to grow as the vocabulary of the Spirit expands.
- The revelation of the footstool is not an abstract doctrine — it is a posture, a lifestyle, a declaration that every enemy is already under your feet.
"When you pray, when you declare the word of God, don't do it from the place of hope. Do it from the place of victory because it's already been given to you."
Key Definitions
Prophetic — The unsurpassed authority of God's voice through His messengers, coming specifically to give solutions and announce the change of seasons and dispensations.
Spirit of Prophecy — The testimony of Jesus Christ Himself — when the authentic spirit of prophecy is present, you are encountering the King of Kings beyond the flesh of the vessel.
Revelation — Not merely knowing the Word of God, but having the Word made living and personal by the Spirit so that what you have read you now see and experience.
Foolish Zeal — Zeal that is ignorant and rooted in nothing; contrasted with zeal in the Holy Ghost, which is zeal grounded in what God has personally shown you.
Relief — The limited posture of asking God to resolve a single pressing need, rather than claiming comprehensive victory over every area of life.
Victory — Every area of life settled, increased, transformed, restituted, and fully under the authority of Christ — the comprehensive outcome God intends for those seated with Him in heavenly places.
False Humility — The rejection of God's blessings and prosperity under the guise of spirituality — identified as a lie from the pit of hell, contradicting the scriptural promise that believers may prosper as their soul prospers.
Key Takeaways
- The prophetic is an unsurpassed authority because it comes to give solutions — rejecting or dismissing the prophetic means cutting yourself off from the very voice that announces change, prepares the way of the Lord, and brings the testimony of Jesus into your situation.
- God's message never changes, but its expression always adapts to the culture of the people being reached — understanding this protects believers from dismissing genuine moves of God simply because the expression is unfamiliar.
- Most believers are dedicated to relief, not victory — recognizing this distinction is the first step toward praying, declaring, and living from the position God has already established for you in heavenly places.
- Prosperity and blessing are God's design for those who receive salvation — resisting this truth is not humility; it is a lie that keeps believers from the fullness of what Christ's poverty purchased for them.
- Declarations of faith must come from a position of victory, not hope — because the believer is already seated above every principality and power, every prayer and declaration must reflect that position, not contradict it.
Reflection Questions
- Are you currently living from a posture of relief or victory? What specific area of your life reveals which posture is truly operating in you?
- Is there a dimension of God's blessing — whether financial, physical, or relational — that you have been spiritually trained to reject or minimize? What would it look like to receive it fully?
- When you pray, are your declarations rooted in what God has already given you, or are they rooted in hope that He might one day give it? What is the difference in how those prayers sound and feel?
- God meets you where you are in order to bring you beyond where you are. What familiar place is God calling you out of right now, and what is making it difficult to leave?
- The spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus Christ. How are you positioning yourself to hear His voice, receive instruction, and be led — and what needs to change for that to become consistent in your life?
Prayers and Declarations

We thank you for the gift of purification. As we are before you, Father clean our hearts. Position us Father to receive from you. Forgive us of every iniquity Father, every sin. Father we thank you that you are good in Jesus mighty name."

"May God multiply what he has given you. May God multiply what is in your hands. I receive. May God multiply what is in your hands. I receive. May God multiply what is in your hands. I receive. Jesus Christ."
"Father, visit. Out! The name of Jesus! Whatever doesn't belong to God, break in Jesus' name. And may your brother be delivered. And may your whole house be delivered. May you be the priest of the house that your prayer will bring freedom to everybody. In the name of Jesus, I remove everything that is not of God and I release you into the hands of Jehovah God. Power of the Holy Spirit. As it breaks every chain of you, may you break chains of everybody you come in contact with in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, deliverance into this house. In Jesus' name. In Jesus' name."
"You spirit of addiction. I am talking to you. Come out of this body. Come out of this body. Come out of this body quickly. Quickly."
Say this after me:
"Say, Lord Jesus. I give you my life. Lord Jesus, Lord Jesus, lead me. Lead me. Guide me. Separate me. Separate me from everything, from everything that is attempting to take my future, to take my future and my destiny and my destiny. Father in the name of Jesus, I give you my life, I give you my life. Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, lead me, lead me, leave me, leave me. Holy Spirit. Lead me now. Lead me now. Lead me now."
Lift your hands to the Lord:
"Say, Holy Spirit. We give you our lives. We give you our lives. Lord Jesus. We give you our lives. We give you our lives. Use us for your glory. For your glory. We renounce every unclean Spirit. We renounce every unclean Spirit. We renounce every demon. We renounce every demon. Every devil. Every devil. Every spiritual husband. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. We enter into our destiny. We enter into our destiny. In Jesus name. In Jesus name."
Say this:
"Say Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit. I give myself to you. I give myself to you. Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit. Fill me today. Fill me today. Give me the heavenly language. Give me the heavenly language. Oh Lord. Like you did on the day of Pentecost."
"Father, give him his heart's desire. The unction. Dimensions of the spirit. Of visions, tongues, authority, may the apostolic unction rest upon him. May many be delivered because of them. May many be saved because of them. In the mighty name of Jesus."
"Father, in the name of your son Jesus, these are your great people. A people that you have chosen for yourself, you have selected for yourself, and you have pre-ordained for yourself. Father, you have declared in your wisdom that they are your people. Father, let every prayer request they have, everything they desire, whatever they represent today in your presence, that they desire a response from heaven — Father, give to them in the name of Jesus. Father, may there be no lack, no sickness, no oppression, depression or any kind of suffering. Father, show them your goodness and your mercy in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, I thank you. Let it be so in Jesus name."
"Those who are watching online, those who are on Instagram, on TikTok, Facebook, wherever you are — may the Lord remember you this hour. May the Lord show you His goodness and His mercy. I declare upon your people, those who are faithful in your presence even now, and even those who are struggling to remain in your presence because of the pressures of life — I declare freedom for them. I declare that whatsoever they desire, Father grant it to them, provide it for them. May they see your miracle working power, especially in this holy week. May there be a resurrection power of Jesus — resurrection of everything that is lost in their life, everything that is broken in their life. By that same unction, by that same Spirit, may the living Spirit be the portion, healing be the portion, prosperity be the portion, acceleration be the portion, in the mighty name of Jesus! Father, may there be testimonies beginning this hour, in Jesus' name."
