The Potency of Blood Sacrifice: Operating from Blessed Ground in the Mind of God

The Potency of Blood Sacrifice · Part 2 of 2

Teaching by Prophet Lovy L. Elias · Watch on YouTube · 16 December 2021

When you understand God's design — from offering to ground, from called to chosen — your future becomes guaranteed, not guessed.

Divine protection is not released through prayer formulas — it is released through knowledge. God announces His moves before they happen, positions His chosen people ahead of time, and responds not to religious performance but to right offering. The difference between Cain and Abel is not effort or sincerity — it is the ground they worked and what they brought to God from it.

Teaching Overview

  1. God reveals His plans in advance to position His people for guaranteed futures — those placed in the loop of what is coming have a preserved and purposeful life.
  2. Divine protection flows from knowledge of God's ways, not from prayer formulas — the blood of Jesus protects believers from the wrath of God, not from Satan.
  3. The blessed cannot be cursed — but many operate in God's permissive will instead of His perfect will, working cursed ground and offering God what He has already rejected.
  4. Cain's offering was rejected not because of insincerity but because he was giving God fruit from a ground God had already cursed — right offering requires operating from the right ground.
  5. Prayer will never alter the mind of God — the right offering shifts God's mind, as demonstrated by Noah, whose burnt offering moved God to reverse the curse on the ground and guarantee seedtime and harvest.

Jesus' own statement"You seek the scriptures thinking in them you find life — they only point to Me"The Word is a man. The Word is a person.

God Announces Before He Acts

  • God will do nothing unless He announces it — there is no move of God that comes without the announcement of that move.
  • Anyone positioned outside a place of divine announcement is left behind — every move of God in history has been preceded by revelation.
  • God is not a God who hides things — He makes His plans available to the benefit of His people, even revealing what happened before any human was present to witness it.

"If you are somewhere where there is no announcement of what God is going to do, you are left behind."

Your Future Is Guaranteed When God Reveals It

  • When God puts a person in the loop of what is to come, that person's life is guaranteed — they have a role to play in the unfolding of what He has declared.
  • Torment is hearing something good and never being able to reach it — God does not place good things before His people to torment them by withholding them.
  • The spirit of a believer has already succeeded in the coming season — the physical journey is simply mapping the body to where the spirit already is.

"Whenever God puts you in the loop of what is to come, it means that your life is guaranteed."

"God will never present something good before you and then torment you by not allowing you to have it."

The Blood of Jesus: Its True Purpose

  • The blood of Jesus is already on the altar — it is the permanent basis upon which believers can address God the Father, not a covering to be re-applied through prayer.
  • The deception many have believed is that the blood of Jesus was shed to protect believers from Satan — but the blood of Jesus was shed to protect believers from the wrath of God.
  • Satan was never the primary problem — Romans makes clear that the blood saves believers from the wrath of God, not from demonic attack.

"The blood of Jesus was to protect you and me from God, not from Satan."

"Every time you say, Father in the name of Jesus, He can hear you because of the blood."

Knowledge as the Foundation of Divine Protection

  • Divine protection is not released through prayer formulas — it is released through knowledge and understanding of God's ways.
  • The people of God perish not for lack of prayer but for lack of knowledge — ignorance is the true cause of spiritual suffering.
  • The prayer that positions a believer is not "I cover myself in the blood" but "Father, give me the spirit of wisdom and understanding — cause me to know Your ways."

"My people perish because of lack of, not lack of prayer. You don't know so you suffer."

Perfect Will vs. Permissive Will

  • A born-again, Spirit-filled child of God cannot fall out of the glory — but many fall short of the glory by choosing the permissive will of God over His perfect will.
  • God remains present even when a person operates in His permissive will, but struggles follow — because the path chosen is allowed by God, not ordained by God.
  • Samson was chosen before birth yet operated largely in God's permissive will — the presence of God's hand on a life does not confirm that every choice made is God's perfect will.

"You can only fall short of the glory, but you cannot come out of the glory."

Creation vs. Making: The Spiritual Precedes the Physical

  • Everything God creates is first designed in the realm of the spirit and then assembled in the physical realm — just as a product is first designed before it is manufactured.
  • God pronounced blessing over Adam in Genesis 1 before Adam was formed from the dust in Genesis 2 — blessing is embedded into a person's design before their physical formation.
  • The blessing a person is looking for is connected to a specific location — the ground from which they were grafted — and the ground can only respond from the right soil.

"Before Adam was formed, you realize that everything that God pronounced and everything that God announced — the Bible tells you nothing grew."

What Is Blessed Cannot Be Cursed

  • When God cursed the ground in Genesis 3, He could not curse Adam — because Adam was already blessed, and what is blessed cannot be cursed.
  • God is the only one with the authority to curse — no human being possesses the inherent power to curse another; that authority belongs to God alone.
  • A curse requires a legal cause — without grounds, a spoken curse finds no place to land on a blessed person.

"What is blessed can never be cursed. Even God Himself cannot curse it."

The Curse on the Ground and Its Consequences

  • God cursed the ground for Adam's sake — the earth would yield thorns and difficulty, and anything good would require painful labor to obtain.
  • Thorns are the consistent scriptural sign of a curse — when God originally created the earth, thorns did not exist.
  • Many are working jobs they do not want and laboring in places that are not fruitful because they are operating on cursed ground — outside of God's ordained purpose.

"Every time you see thorns, it is a sign of a curse."

The Chosen vs. The Called

  • There are men of God and men from God — men from God are reserves raised up as backups should the ordained vessel fail, while men of God are chosen before creation.
  • The chosen are not among the called — the called form the broader pool, while the chosen are specifically known and ordained before they are formed.
  • Anyone hearing this teaching is identified as chosen — God has already positioned them in the loop of what is to come.

"The chosen are not among the called."

Cain, Abel, and the Pattern of Cursed Offering

  • Cain was born into the pattern of his father Adam — working the ground — but that ground was already cursed, making his labor spiritually fruitless from the beginning.
  • Abel entered the mind of God for a new era — no shepherd had existed before him, not even Adam — and in doing so, he stepped out of the inherited curse into grace.
  • God's rejection of Cain's offering was not a rejection of effort but a rejection of the source — it is impossible to give God something He has already cursed and expect Him to receive it.

"Kain was trying to give God something from what is cursed. Kain is going to work on something that is cursed. He is harvesting from what is cursed and is bringing it to God. God said, how can you bring me something that I have already cursed?"

Jesus as the Good Shepherd: The New Pattern

  • Jesus declared "I am the good shepherd" — not "I am the good farmer" — signifying that He came not to till cursed ground but to steward, watch over, and multiply what belongs to Him.
  • Abel's choice to become a keeper of sheep — before any shepherd had existed — was a move into revelation, mirroring the pattern of Christ who came not to strive but to steward.
  • Abel is mentioned second in birth order but first in spiritual outcome — the "but" preceding Cain's introduction marks him as secondary in God's economy.

"Jesus came as the good shepherd, not as a farmer."

Scripture Points to the Word — Not the Other Way Around

  • The Scripture — the logos, the written word — has no life in itself; it only points and positions a believer to receive the Rhema, the living Word who is a person.
  • Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for seeking life in Scripture itself — "You seek the scriptures, thinking in them you find life. They only point to Me."
  • For specific direction — a job, a decision, a path — a believer needs Rhema directly from God's heart, not a verse pulled as a formula.

"Only the word has life. And the word is a person, not words written on pages."

Grace Versus Striving

  • Abel did not have to create, sow, or manufacture animals — he simply gathered them and watched over them as they reproduced; Cain beat the cursed ground for the same result.
  • Operating in the place of God's provision is always better than operating in human strength — grace produces what striving cannot.
  • Many have been taught to work the ground rather than to live in the realm of grace — this is the root of fruitless labor and spiritual exhaustion.

"You are always better in the place of God's provision than your strength."

Noah's Offering and the Reversal of the Curse

  • Noah understood that he could not bring God anything from a cursed ground — so he offered burnt offerings from clean animals, following the principle Abel had demonstrated.
  • Prayer will never alter the mind of God — but the right offering shifts God's mind, as it did for Noah when God declared He would never again curse the ground for man's sake.
  • Because of Noah's offering, God established seedtime and harvest as a guaranteed covenant — every seed sown now has a guaranteed harvest for the one who has broken the power of the curse over the ground.

"Prayer will never alter the mind of God. The right offering will change God's mind."

"Anybody that was able to shift the mind of God in Scripture, I'm challenging you go and see. All of them were very good at offering God something."

Key Definitions

Blood of Jesus — The eternal sacrifice already placed on the altar, by which believers are bought from the Father and given access to God through Christ the Mediator; it protects believers from the wrath of God, not from Satan.

Permissive Will of God — A path God allows for a believer that is not His best — a lesser way chosen by the person, which results in struggle and shortfall even though God's presence remains.

Perfect Will of God — The full, originally ordained plan God designed for a person before they were formed — the path of maximum blessing and divine alignment.

Cursed Ground — The natural state of the earth since Genesis 3, where labor yields thorns and difficulty; operating from cursed ground means striving in a place God has already rejected.

Logos — The written Scripture — the foundation that points and positions a believer toward the living Word, but which contains no life in itself.

Rhema — The living, spoken Word of God — a direct word from God's heart into a specific situation; the Word is a person, not words written on pages.

Key Takeaways

  • God announces His moves before they happen — Being in the loop of what God is about to do is not incidental; it is the mark of a guaranteed, preserved future with a specific role to play.
  • The blood of Jesus protects from the wrath of God, not from Satan — Misunderstanding the purpose of the blood leads to misapplied prayer and ongoing spiritual vulnerability through ignorance.
  • What is blessed cannot be cursed — Every believer who has been blessed by God stands on ground that no human authority — and not even God Himself — can legitimately curse without a legal cause.
  • Right offering, not right prayer, shifts the mind of God — Noah's example establishes that what moves God from judgment to covenant provision is the right offering from the right ground.
  • Grace always outperforms striving — Abel's model of stewardship under grace produced more than Cain's labor on cursed ground — the believer is always better positioned in God's provision than in their own strength.

Reflection Questions

  1. Are you currently working a ground that God has already cursed — laboring in a career, pattern, or spiritual practice inherited from an old season rather than from the new move of God? What would it look like to make the shift Abel made?
  2. In your prayer life, have you been pleading the blood as a re-application of what is already working, or have you been seeking the knowledge that actually releases divine protection? What specific area of ignorance do you need God's wisdom in most urgently?
  3. Are you operating in God's permissive will and calling it His will because He has allowed it? What is the difference between the path you are currently on and what you sense is His perfect will for your life?
  4. What are you currently offering God — and is it from a blessed place or from cursed ground? What would a right offering look like for your specific season?
  5. What would change in your daily life if you genuinely believed that your spirit has already succeeded in the coming season — that for you, the next year should not be a surprise?

Prayers and Declarations

Close your eyes. Say this:

"Jesus. I open my heart to you. Change me. Let me feel your presence."

Closing Blessing Prayer

"Father, we bless you. We thank you that we are established. We thank you Lord that we are established. We give you praise for the breakthroughs. The Lord bless you, the Lord keep you, the Lord makes His faith shine upon you, in the mighty name of Jesus."
