Water World Revealed: Spiritual Authority, Marine Spirits, and the Power of Proximity to Jesus
True dominion over demonic forces is not won by impressive prayers or accumulated knowledge — it is gained through intimate proximity to Jesus Christ.
The world is under an intensifying spiritual assault, and most believers are unprepared because they do not understand what they are fighting. Scripture reveals a hidden realm beneath the waters — a domain of dangerous spirits that drive mental illness, perversion, dissatisfaction, and destruction across the earth. But the answer is not more information. The answer is more of Jesus.
Teaching Overview
- Spiritual ranking determines what level of demonic opposition a believer can effectively confront — faith cannot exceed the grace and ranking God has established in a believer's life.
- The sea is a literal spiritual domain — Scripture reveals it as a dwelling place of dangerous entities whose influence drives mental illness, perversion, and destruction on the earth.
- True authority over all demonic forces — on land, in the sea, and in the air — is not gained through more prayer techniques or scriptural knowledge, but through intimate proximity to Jesus Christ.
- Fasting is not a mechanism for acquiring spiritual power — it is the surrender of self so that a believer is clothed with God's will and character.
- Ranking increases as a believer gains more of Jesus — the more of Christ one possesses, the more darkness is displaced, because demons obey and fear the Lord Jesus alone.
Key Distinctions
| Spiritual Maturity | Information Accumulation | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Genuine growth in Christ-likeness, spiritual intelligence, and authority | Increase in scriptural and theological knowledge without transformation |
| Its fruit | Ability to cast out devils, discern spirits, and walk in ranked authority | Argument like the Pharisees while remaining powerless against demonic opposition |
| Its direction | Increases the believer's ranking and capacity for faith | Actually diminishes spiritual effectiveness when unaccompanied by revelation |
| Its source | Proximity to Jesus and surrender through fasting and prayer | Study, sermons, and external religious activity |
| Its danger when absent | Believers cannot confront spirits beyond their rank and face consequences | None perceived — the believer feels informed but is spiritually stagnant |
| Spiritual Intelligence | Scriptural Knowledge | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Revelation-based understanding of spiritual realities and demonic operations | Accumulation of biblical information and doctrinal content |
| Its relationship to faith | Produces the grace-level faith needed to operate in a given anointing | Does not automatically produce faith or ranking |
| Its danger | Can be neglected in favour of information | Can produce pride, correction of others, and Pharisaical behaviour |
| Faith | Unbelief | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Trust aligned with the measure of grace God has given | Absence of the grace-produced trust needed to operate in a given rank |
| Its connection to ranking | Cannot exceed the rank determined by God's grace | Prevents the exercise of authority over higher-ranking spirits |
| Its result | Mountains removed, demons cast out, impossible things done | Powerlessness against certain classes of demonic spirits |
| Ranking of Demons — Lower (Land Spirits) | Ranking of Demons — Higher (Sea / Air Spirits) | |
|---|---|---|
| What they are | Serpents, scorpions, and lesser powers — the beginning jurisdiction of a new believer | Principalities, marine spirits, and powers of the air requiring greater ranking to confront |
| Initial believer's authority | Granted — "I have given you power to tread over serpents and scorpions" | Not initially accessible — confronting them prematurely brings consequences |
| How authority grows | Through proximity to Jesus, fasting, and surrendered intimacy with God | As ranking increases through spiritual maturity and more of Christ |
| Protection — Spiritual | Protection — Wisdom | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Authority over demonic forces that cannot touch a believer of high ranking | Practical, physical prudence that guards the natural body |
| Biblical example | Hell could do nothing to Peter spiritually | Jesus Himself traveled at night to avoid assassination — no demon could touch Him, but the physical body required wisdom |
| Its lesson | Spiritual ranking does not make the physical body invincible | Both dimensions of protection operate together |
| Fasting for God's Will | Fasting for Personal Power | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Surrendering self to God's desire, seeking His will above one's own | Seeking power, gifting, or results from God as the primary motivation |
| Its posture | "Not my will but Yours be done" — the posture of Jesus in Gethsemane | "Father, give me power. Father, make me powerful." |
| God's response | God is honoured — the believer is clothed with Christ | A major red flag — seeking something from God without seeking God Himself |
| Its fruit | The believer decreases and Christ increases in them | Even if received, power is held without genuine relationship |
| Land Spirits | Sea Spirits | Air Spirits | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Domain | Earth — physical land and territory | Waters — oceans, rivers, and the marine realm | The atmosphere — above the earth |
| Initial believer's jurisdiction | Yes — serpents and scorpions are land-bound | Not at first — requires increased ranking | Not at first — the prince of the power of the air requires high-level authority |
| Biblical evidence | Luke 10:19 — power over serpents and scorpions | Revelation 20:13 — the sea gave up its dead; pigs ran into the sea | Ephesians 2:2 — prince of the power of the air |
| Earthly influence | Territorial control of regions | Mental illness, perversion, beauty obsession, dissatisfaction | Atmospheric spiritual resistance over regions |
| Moses (The Law) | Elijah (The Prophets) | |
|---|---|---|
| What he represents | The Law | The Prophets |
| His connection to water | His name literally means "drawn out of water" — a connection to the water realm | Known as the prophet of fire — fasting without water |
| Significance in Matthew 17 | Both appeared to Jesus at the Transfiguration — Jesus came to fulfil the law and the prophets | The kind of fasting that overcomes water spirits connects to both figures |
| Physical Death | Spiritual Authority Over Death | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | The cessation of biological life — the physical body can still be killed | The spiritual reality that demonic entities called death, hell, and the grave have no power over a ranked believer |
| Biblical example | Peter's physical body was crucified upside down | Hell could do nothing to Peter spiritually — his ranking made him untouchable in the spirit |
| Jesus's victory | Jesus did not merely resurrect — He defeated the entities called death, hell, and the grave who held power over human beings | At the name of Jesus every knee bows — in heaven, on earth, and under the earth |
| God's Design for the Body | Beauty Standards From the Sea | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | "We are wonderfully and fearfully made" — as long as one is healthy, one is good | Ideals of appearance inspired by marine spirits — extreme thinness, unattainable features, perpetual dissatisfaction |
| Its source | God — Creator of every human form | Spirits arising from the water, inspiring obsession with altered appearance |
| Its fruit | Contentment, health, identity in Christ | Addiction, self-alteration, confusion of identity, inability to recognise oneself |
| Its danger | None when embraced in truth | Slowly kills by altering the person to chase after something that destroys them |
The Spiritual Hierarchy of Demonic Forces
- Not all demons are equal in rank — there are distinct kinds of devils, and a believer's ability to confront them is determined by their spiritual ranking, not merely their desire or intention.
- When the disciples could not cast out the demon in Matthew 17, it was not that God's power was unavailable — the spirit outranked them, and confronting a spirit beyond one's ranking produces powerlessness and consequences.
- When an unclean spirit is cast out and returns with seven more powerful spirits, the house is made worse — being spiritually clean does not keep demons out; increasing one's ranking keeps them out.
"The reality is you have to understand that it was not the power of God that was not available to cast out the devil. It was the spiritual ranking that prevented them from casting out that devil, because why it was another kind. Meaning in the spirit, when you took Peter and his brothers and you put that demon, it was more powerful than them in ranking, even though it was a fallen spirit."
Faith, Grace, and Spiritual Ranking
- Faith cannot be exercised beyond the grace God has assigned to a believer — faith is inseparably tied to ranking, and ranking is determined by grace.
- Believers who think increased prayer alone will raise their faith are mistaken — prophetic accuracy, casting out devils, and faith all operate within the measure of grace given.
- Spiritual intelligence and spiritual understanding are distinct from scriptural knowledge — increasing information without revelation causes believers to diminish, not grow, and produces Pharisaical behaviour while remaining powerless.
"You cannot master faith beyond the grace given to you because faith is connected to ranking. You cannot faith beyond your rank, and your rank is determined by your grace."
The Sea as a Spiritual Domain
- Scripture reveals the sea as a literal spiritual entity — in Revelation 20:13, the sea, death, and hell are each distinct entities that give up their dead at the final judgment.
- The pigs in the Gospels ran into the sea after the demons entered them because the sea is a domain — a dwelling place of powerful spirits, not simply a body of water.
- In the new earth there will be no sea — the absence of the sea confirms that it serves as a den of dangerous spirits, with only the crystal sea of heaven remaining.
"There will be no more sea. Why will there be no sea in the new earth? Because the sea is actually a den of devils. Some of the most dangerous spirits live in the water."
Death and Hell as Entities
- Death and hell are not abstract concepts in Scripture — they are entities, each assigned a horse in Revelation 6, each given power to kill and to hold the dead.
- When Jesus overcame death, hell, and the grave, He did not merely resurrect — He defeated real spiritual entities who had power over human beings to keep them captive.
- Death, hell, and the grave are themselves destined for the lake of fire — confirming their nature as entities, not merely states of being.
"Hell, death and the grave—they are also going in there. They are entities."
Marine Spirits and Their Earthly Influence
- The explosion of mental illness in the world is primarily a spiritual issue — the water spirit that drove the lunatic boy in Matthew 17 into fire and water is the same class of spirit driving mental illness today, and medicine pacifies but does not expel the spirit causing it.
- Extreme beauty perversion and the dissatisfaction people feel with their appearance are driven by marine spirits — the beauty standards being chased are inspirations from the water realm, designed to alter and destroy identity.
- Every city built near a large body of water carries a measurably higher level of perversion — territorial marine spirits operate through geographic proximity to water, and believers fighting these spirits without understanding their nature fight blindly.
"Do you know why there's so much mental illness on earth? The sea has attacked. Mental illness is the biggest thing in the world right now. Never been at any time. From the young to the old, mental illnesses are huge things. And many don't understand — it's primarily a spiritual issue."
Fasting: Surrender, Not Power-Seeking
- Fasting is not a mechanism to acquire power — seeking power from God while bypassing God Himself is a major red flag, because once the power is received, the seeker stops returning.
- True fasting prioritises God's will above personal petition — the posture is that of Jesus in Gethsemane: "Not My will, but Yours be done."
- When believers fast in genuine surrender, they decrease and Christ increases in them — they are no longer visible, but He begins to appear through them.
"When we fast, we don't fast and say, Father, give me power. Father, make me powerful. Notice you want something from him and you don't want him. That is a problem. You want power, but not him. That is a major red flag to God."
Ranking Through Proximity to Jesus
- Ranking is a measure of how much of Jesus a believer possesses — the more of Christ within, the more darkness is displaced, because every demon obeys and fears the Lord Jesus alone.
- Closeness to the Master is the absolute key to authority — it is not mountain-climbing spiritual disciplines, impressive prayer language, or accumulated knowledge that produces power, but time spent with Him.
- David's authority over the sea and the rivers was not a military achievement — it was the fruit of being a man after God's own heart; proximity to God gave him dominion that no spirit could contend with.
"My greatest secret is that I have a lot of time with him since I was a child. That's what has made me powerful. No mountain will make you powerful."
"Never spend your time trying to be greater than demons in prayer. Spend your time being close to Jesus. When you become close to Jesus demons become the easiest thing to deal with."
Love Over Impression
- God cannot be impressed — He operates in unconditional love, having already decided to love humanity before any action is taken.
- What pleases God is not religious performance but the genuine desire to be with Him — the way a parent's ultimate joy is seeing their child desire to become everything they laboured for them to be.
- True intimacy with God is not empty worship songs or hollow declarations — it is arriving at a place where being without Him feels like being without oxygen.
"To be intimate doesn't mean empty worship songs. Doesn't mean empty bubbling. No. Intimacy is seeing yourself without him. Like being without oxygen. It has to be genuine without you. I can do nothing. Without you. I am nothing. Without you. I am broken."
Key Definitions
Spiritual Ranking — A believer's level of authority in the spirit realm, determined not by desire or prayer volume but by the measure of grace God has assigned; it governs which class of demonic spirit a believer can confront and overcome.
Kinds of Devils — Distinct categories of demonic spirits that differ in power, domain, and authority; not all devils are equal, and confronting a spirit beyond one's ranking produces powerlessness and potential spiritual retaliation.
Marine Spirits (Sea Spirits) — Dangerous demonic entities that dwell in and operate from the water realm; they drive mental illness, identity confusion, beauty perversion, and dissatisfaction, and are among the most powerful classes of spirits confronting believers today.
Fasting — Not a technique for acquiring power, but the act of surrendering self to God's will — stripping oneself of personal agenda so as to be clothed with Christ and aligned with God's desire; the correct posture is "not my will, but Yours."
Spiritual Intelligence — Revelation-based understanding of spiritual realities, demonic operations, and the nature of the unseen realm — distinct from scriptural knowledge, which is information-based and can exist without genuine spiritual authority.
Proximity (to Jesus) — The primary source of a believer's spiritual power and ranking; the closer a believer lives to Jesus, the more of Him they manifest, and the more every demonic force is subject to them — because demons obey and fear the Lord Jesus, not believers in themselves.
Key Takeaways
- Spiritual ranking, not prayer volume, determines which demons a believer can effectively confront — going after a spirit beyond one's current rank without God's commission produces consequences, not victory.
- The sea is a literal spiritual domain revealed in Scripture — understanding that dangerous entities dwell there and influence mental illness, perversion, and identity confusion equips believers to identify and address the true source of these conditions.
- True authority over all demonic forces comes from possessing more of Jesus — demons obey Christ, so the more of Christ a believer carries through intimate proximity and surrender, the greater their dominion over every spiritual rank.
- Fasting is about surrendering to God's will, not extracting power from God — the believer who fasts to seek God Himself is clothed with Christ; the one who fasts to seek power makes a request that reveals a relational problem.
- Intimacy with God is the absolute key to spiritual authority — it is not religious activity, spiritual disciplines, or scriptural accumulation that raises a believer's ranking, but genuine, sustained closeness to the Master.
Reflection Questions
- Are you investing more time in accumulating scriptural information than in genuine intimacy with Jesus — and what evidence in your life reveals the difference?
- When you fast or pray, is your primary aim to receive something from God, or to surrender yourself to His will? What does your honest answer reveal about your relationship with Him?
- Which area of your life — mental health, identity, appearance, or dissatisfaction — might be more spiritually rooted than you have previously acknowledged, and what would it mean to address it at that level?
- If ranking is determined by how much of Jesus you possess, what specific habits or priorities are currently limiting your proximity to Him — and what would you need to change this week?
- Is there an area where you have been confronting spiritual opposition without truly understanding what you are fighting — and are you willing to pause, seek God's counsel, and allow Him to build your rank before advancing?
Prayers and Declarations
Prophetic word spoken over the congregation:
"The Lord has reached in someone online right now, and in here. And what he's saying is, I just want you to trust me again. I know you've been hurt. I know you've been let down, but open your heart to me again. Open your heart to me again. And that is some of us in here as we are open your heart again. Open your heart again."
Closing Prayer
"We thank you Lord that it will not be deleted. So that we all can rewatch. And that we all can grow. And Father, we thank you for revelation nation. We thank you for all that is watching around the world and all that are given from around the world. Father, we thank you that you have marked us, oh God. And we thank you from tonight, O Lord, that our ranking has changed, and has shifted God. And you have given us the power and the authority of God to deal with the sea. Father, we love you and we thank you. Amen. Amen."
Scripture References
- Genesis 1:26 — "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." (KJV)
- Matthew 17:14-21 — "And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting." (KJV)
- Mark 11:23-24 — "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." (KJV)
- Isaiah 59:19 — "So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him." (KJV)
- Revelation 5:12-13 — "Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever." (KJV)
- Revelation 5:1-3 — "And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon." (KJV)
- Revelation 6:1-8 — "And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth." (KJV)
- Revelation 20:12-13 — "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works." (KJV)
