Spiritual bondage is rarely addressed at its root. Most people fight yokes — the visible symptoms of oppression — without ever identifying the burden underneath that gives the yoke its power. Understanding the difference between a burden and a yoke is not theological theory; it is the difference between temporary relief and permanent freedom.

• Isaac's blessing over Jacob established a covenant of fruitfulness — "the smell of a field which the Lord has blessed" — that followed Jacob regardless of circumstance.
• The blessing declared that nations and people would serve Jacob, meaning the blessing placed a yoke on others to work toward his increase.
• God cannot bless what you do not bring before Him.

"From that moment, it did not matter where Jacob went. You still cause for me, you will multiply ten more."
