Deliverance From Curses: How to Break Free Through the Prophetic Realm
To break free from every curse, you must stop fighting on the enemy's terms and rise into the prophetic realm where God's Word gives you the advantage.
Every believer carries a measure of God's power — but not every believer operates at the level where curses are broken. There are three ascending levels of spiritual operation that determine whether a believer merely survives or actually dominates in the spirit. Understanding these levels, and the role of prophetic authority in dismantling curses, is the difference between decades of unanswered prayer and walking in the fullness of God's promise.
Teaching Overview
- Level One: Renewed Strength
- Level Two: Running and Not Fainting
- Level Three: Mounting Up with Eagle's Wings
Key Distinctions
| God's Truth | Perspective | God's Realm | Enemy's Realm | Curse | Blessing | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| What it is | The unchanging reality of God Almighty Himself | A human viewpoint subject to error | The prophetic, spirit-level dimension where God's Word governs | The natural, earthly dimension where the enemy's rules apply | A name, word, or spiritual weight that follows a person and limits their advancement | God's favour and power resting on a person to multiply and expand |
| Who defines it | God alone | Any individual or group | Established by God's Word and the prophetic voice | Established by the enemy's strategies and this world's systems | Often assigned by others — parents, enemies, or circumstance | Declared by God over His servants |
| Effect on a person | Produces rest, alignment, and advancement | Produces confusion, misapplication, and spiritual stagnation | Produces acceleration, prophetic insight, and dominion | Produces labour, exhaustion, and bondage | Follows the person everywhere — affecting relationships, labour, and reward | Opens doors, multiplies effort, and commands honour |
| How it changes | It does not change — it is absolute | Can shift with understanding | Accessed through waiting on God, rest, and the prophetic | Abandoned by refusing to fight the devil on his terms | Broken only by entering the prophetic realm and operating with the Word | Received by faith, obedience, and relationship with God |
| Biblical example | "I am the way, the truth, and the life" — John 14:6 | The Pharisees claiming Jesus cast out devils by Beelzebub | The eagle taking the snake into the air to defeat it | Fighting the devil in his own domain | Jacob — his name "supplanter" followed him through every labour and relationship | Abraham — so established in God's blessing he refused gifts from kings |
The Word of God Is Absolute Truth — Not Perspective
- The Word of God says what it does and does what it says — there is no variation, no approximation, and no room for misapplication.
- Everyone else operates from perspective, but God operates from truth — if God declares something good, it is good regardless of any human opinion.
- Changing your method matters: continuing to pray the same way for 20, 40, or 50 years without result is not faithfulness — it is a failure to understand that different realms require different approaches.
"The word of God is exactly true and it says what it does and it does what it says."
"Everybody has perspective. But God has truth."
Never Fight the Devil on His Terms
- Fighting the devil in his realm, in the natural and earthly dimension, is where his rules apply and where he has the advantage.
- When God gives you something and you hide it out of fear of your financial situation, you are playing exactly the game the enemy wanted you to play.
- You must connect what you have to where you are going — not retreat into the devil's economy, but advance into God's.
"You never fight the devil in his realm. If the devil is drawing your finances, you get small finances, you hide. You just played in his room. That's what he wanted you to do in the first place."
"The way of God is always higher. Don't fight the devil on his terms in this world where his rules are."
Level One: Renewed Strength
- Waiting on the Lord does not mean sitting quietly — it means remaining, staying inside God, and believing Him.
- You cannot renew your strength while you are still laboring — a person carrying a burden, even at rest, is still working.
- God's first act is to remove burdens, give rest, and rebuild — just as a bird whose feathers are regrowing is kept, fed, and watered in a safe place until it can fly.
"You can never renew your strength if you're still laboring."
"When you come to God, God does not release you and fly. God will keep you, begin to feed you, begin to give you water. God begins to accustom you to a new life."
Level Two: Running and Not Fainting
- A person who has not rested has no ability to run — what looks like a spirit of delay is often simply the absence of rest.
- At this level, there is acceleration: what used to take ten years of prayer can be done in one day, in five minutes of declaration.
- Speed is the mark of this level — when you say fire, something catches fire; when you say be free, people begin to be free.
"Today I decree and declare to somebody, but the time you leave this place today, you shall be able to run and never faint."
"You are able now to accelerate. You are able to move faster. What used to take you 10 years to pray for, for one day it is done."
Level Three: Mounting Up with Eagle's Wings — The Prophetic Realm
- Mounting up with wings as an eagle does not mean becoming an eagle — it means operating at a level indistinguishable from the prophetic.
- In this realm, believers carry insight wherever they go: knowing where to step, what to do, and where to go because the Lord speaks and leads.
- The strength of this level is entirely rooted in the Word — the power is not in doing but in what comes out of your mouth.
"You are prophetic. Wherever you go, you have insight. You know where to step."
"The power of God is not in doing but it is in the Word. The meat of the power of God is in the Word that comes out of your mouth."
You Cannot Break a Curse Without the Prophetic
- A curse is broken not by simply pleading the blood, but by entering the prophetic realm and wielding the Word of God with authority.
- God's promise to Abraham in Genesis 12:3 is not a removal of the curse — it is a declaration of divine retaliation against those who curse His servant; the curse itself must still be addressed.
- Jacob carried the curse of his name "supplanter" everywhere — even when God's blessing was upon him, the curse caused him to labour over what was already his and to answer to those who should have served him.
"You cannot break a curse unless you have become prophetic."
"God is not removing the curse from you. God is reversing what they do unto you back unto them."
Jacob's Name and the Effect of a Curse Left Unbroken
- Jacob did not choose his name — it was assigned at birth based on what he displayed, and it followed him into every labour, every relationship, and every season of advancement.
- People around Jacob benefited from God's blessing upon him more than Jacob himself did — his father-in-law enriched himself, his animals multiplied at Jacob's insight, and his labour was exploited repeatedly.
- The Lord Jesus, by contrast, never had to prove Himself to anyone — He operated from a prophetic name He declared over Himself, and wherever He went, His name spread without resistance.
"Jacob did not choose his name, but the curse of his name followed him everywhere he went."
"The light never had to prove himself because he was not under any curse."
Knowledge Is the Gateway to Freedom
- God's people perish not because they lack salvation, prayer, or the Holy Spirit — they perish because they lack knowledge of spiritual things.
- Ignorance of spiritual warfare means believers can be channels of blessing for others while remaining bound themselves.
- You cannot fight a battle you do not know exists — the enemy counts on this ignorance to maintain his hold.
"My people perish because of lack of knowledge, not because they are not Christians, not because they don't pray, not because they are not going to heaven."
Key Definitions
Waiting on the Lord — Not passive silence, but actively remaining, staying inside God, and believing Him through every season.
Renewed Strength (Level One) — The first operation of God for those who wait on Him: the removal of burdens, the granting of rest, and the rebuilding of spiritual and natural capacity so the believer can advance.
Prophetic Realm (Level Three) — The dimension of operation where a believer mounts up with eagle's wings, moves with insight and divine direction, and wields the Word of God with authority over curses and demonic forces.
Curse — A name, word, or spiritual weight — often assigned by others — that follows a person and causes them to labour over what is already theirs, to prove themselves where they should be honoured, and to benefit others more than themselves.
God's Truth — The absolute, unchanging reality of God Almighty Himself — not a perspective but the fixed nature of things as God has declared them, independent of human opinion or circumstance.
Perspective — A human viewpoint subject to error and limitation — distinct from God's truth in that it can be wrong regardless of how sincerely it is held.
Key Takeaways
- God's Word is absolute truth, not perspective — Applying it incorrectly for decades will yield the wrong result, because the method matters as much as the belief.
- You must never fight the devil on his terms — Operating in the natural realm where the enemy's rules govern gives him the advantage; the victory belongs in God's higher realm.
- Renewed strength requires first laying down your burdens — God cannot rebuild what you refuse to release; rest is not passivity, it is the foundation of all advancement.
- Speed and acceleration belong to those who have rested — Level Two is not available to those still exhausted by Level One burdens; rest unlocks the ability to run without fainting.
- Curses are broken only in the prophetic realm — The Word spoken from a place of prophetic authority, not ritual prayer alone, is what dismantles what has been spoken against you.
Reflection Questions
- Are you still fighting battles in the natural — hiding what God has given you, laboring to prove yourself to people, or using the enemy's methods — instead of operating from God's higher realm?
- What burdens are you still carrying that are preventing God from renewing your strength? What specific thing do you need to release to God in order to truly rest?
- Which of the three levels — renewed strength, running without fainting, or mounting up prophetically — are you currently operating in, and what is keeping you from moving to the next?
- Is there a "Jacob name" over your life — a label assigned by others at birth, in childhood, or in your history — that has been following you and limiting your advancement without your realising it?
- In what area of your life are others benefiting from your gifting, your anointing, or your blessing more than you are — and what would it look like to begin operating at the level where that changes?
Prayers and Declarations
"Today I decree and declare to somebody, but the time you leave this place today, you shall be able to run and never faint."
"May God remove you from having to prove yourself to people. May God remove you from having to prove yourself to people. Having to show people that you belong. Having to show people that you can win. Having to show people that this is your place. May God remove you from that in the name of Jesus."
"May your name be great in the name of Jesus. May your name be great in the name of Jesus."
"May today something change. I said, may today something change. There are some people you're answering to. There should be the ones reporting to you."
