God's Mother Tongue: Aligning With the Language of Heaven

God's Mother Tongue: Aligning With the Language of Heaven

Gods Mother Tongue · Part 1 of 3

Part 2
Teaching by Prophet Lovy L. Elias · Watch on YouTube · 28 May 2022

God's language is not spoken — it is thought, imagined, and intended, and until you align with it, you will struggle to hear His voice.

God does not communicate the way the world communicates. His mother tongue — His language of origin — operates in the realm of thoughts and imagination, not merely in the sounds of earthly speech. Understanding this language is the key to hearing God's voice, prophesying your future, and aligning your inner life with His eternal purposes.

Teaching Overview

  1. The ways of God are hidden and require grace, not merely education or moral discipline, to access.
  2. Earthly languages are partly demonic in origin, which is why it is easier to sin with your tongue than to speak to God.
  3. God communicates in two dimensions — speech and thought/imagination — and alignment with both is required to hear His voice.
  4. Every thought and imagination you have is a prophetic declaration of your future; God examines intention, not merely declaration.
  5. Living in the past is a form of torment that cuts you off from God's language of the future; letting go is essential to forward movement.

The Hidden Ways of God

  • The ways of God are hidden — they are not open to everyone, and it takes the grace of God, the mercy of God, and the Spirit of God to access them.
  • Even the most educated and devout religious leaders can miss God entirely — the Pharisees, teachers of teachers, missed Jesus because their understanding was more cultural than spiritual.
  • Paul, a Pharisee of Pharisees, himself missed Christ before grace intervened — this confirms that spiritual access to God's ways is never earned through religious knowledge alone.

"It truly takes the grace of God to know the ways of God."

Morality Versus Spirituality

  • Good values and good morals are important, but they are generation-dependent and do not constitute the unchanging law of God.
  • Cultural and moral laws change as men mature — but the law of God and the purpose of God do not change.
  • Many believers focus on what their fathers defined as holiness rather than what God says is holy, and in doing so they miss the actual ways of God.

"Laws moral laws, cultural laws can change. The values of God don't change, the laws of God don't change."

Anointing Versus Cultural Expression

  • Anointing and prophetic calling are assigned by God — they are not dependent on cultural appearance, dress, or external religious markers.
  • What people frequently mistake for holiness is often a blend of inherited culture and religious tradition, not a direct expression of God's law.
  • The circumcision dispute settled by Paul illustrates this principle: God is not after external religious forms but after the circumcision of the heart.

"Never be caught up with nonsense, be caught up with the spiritual ways of God."

God's Mother Tongue: The Language of Origin

  • "Mother tongue" refers to the language of origin — God's own original language, the way He communicates, not a reference to a female deity.
  • God is Spirit, and His language is spiritual — it is distinct from earthly languages and even from the language of angels.
  • The Bible confirms that even the language of angels differs from God's own language, as Paul distinguishes between the two in 1 Corinthians 13:1.

"What language did God speak? A spiritual language. Of course, God is Spirit."

The Tower of Babel and the Origin of Earthly Languages

  • Before Babel, the whole earth was of one language and one speech — that original unified language gave humanity the power to accomplish anything they imagined.
  • God came down and confounded their language precisely because their unified speech amplified their capacity to carry out evil imaginations without restraint.
  • When God scattered the nations, He scattered them according to the spirit that governed them — the fallen ones that inspired and conspired with each people group to do what they were doing.

"If you actually read, every nation was scattered according to the spirit that governed them."

The Demonic Root of Earthly Language

  • Because earthly languages were formed through God's judgment at Babel and shaped by the fallen spirits that governed each scattered people, your second natural language is partly demonic in origin.
  • This is why it is easier to commit evil with your language than to speak to God — the language itself was not designed to reach Him.
  • Jesus confronted the Pharisees on this directly: they could not understand His speech because their language was shaped by the father of lies, not by the Father of Heaven.

"Your second natural language is actually partly demonic. That is why it's easier for you to commit evil with your language than to speak to God."

God's Two Realms of Communication: Speech and Thought

  • God communicates in two dimensions: the realm of speech and the realm of thoughts and imagination.
  • God has thoughts — Jeremiah 29:11 confirms this: "For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the Lord."
  • Thoughts and imagination are inseparable: imagination puts pictures to thoughts and makes it possible to see yourself doing something before you do it.

"God also functions in two things, in two realms. Realm of speech and realm of thoughts."

How Language Shapes Thought and Future

  • The language you speak influences your thoughts — you do not merely think the way you think by instinct, but because of how you speak and the conversations you engage in.
  • Anyone who is positively thinking is already attracting God more than someone who prays without ever thinking positively, because as a man thinks, so he is.
  • When God looks at you, He is thinking about your end — how He will lift you up, bless you, expand you, and cause you to fly higher; these are the thoughts of God toward you.

"The language you speak influences your thoughts. You think that way you think not simply because you think but because of how you speak."

Every Thought Is a Prophetic Declaration

  • Every single time you think, you are already professing your future and revealing your capacity for it.
  • God does not focus on what you are saying — He examines every intention of the heart, and the intention originates in your thoughts and imagination, not in your words.
  • God saw that the wickedness of Noah's generation was not merely in their actions but in their imaginations — "every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually" — and judged accordingly.

"Every single time you are thinking, you are already professing the future. You are already revealing your capacity of the future."

Intention Is More Important Than Declaration

  • The Word of God is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart — this is what God is actually examining when you pray.
  • You can declare "I am above and not below," but if you have already seen yourself at the bottom in your imagination, your declaration is a waste of time — you are not speaking God's language.
  • Unforgiveness is an act of speaking against God's language — this is why God instructs you to reconcile with your brother before bringing your offering to His altar.

"Intention is more important to God than declaration."

The Mind Was Never Designed to Stop

  • The Bible never instructs you to stop thinking, empty your mind, or silence your thoughts — to do so would be to close the channel through which God speaks to you.
  • The mind is like a river flowing — you cannot stop it, because the moment thoughts stop, life itself has ended.
  • Even in eternity, the soul continues to think: the rich man in hell was still thinking, still remembering, still sending requests — thought does not cease at death.

"The Bible has never instructed you to stop thinking. The mind is like a river flowing. You cannot stop the river."

The Torment of Living in the Past

  • One of the worst torments of hell is being unable to think beyond the pit — those in hell can only live in the past, in perpetual regret over what they could have done.
  • Anyone who lives in the past is already experiencing a form of that torment — cut off from God's purposes, unable to receive what He has ordained ahead.
  • Letting go of hurts, losses, and old relationships is not optional — it is what opens your hands to receive what God has for your future.

"Anyone that lives in the past is already in hell. Stop living in the past."

The Soul Is Always Listening

  • Even while the body sleeps, the soul remains awake and continues to be influenced by what surrounds it — this is why what you leave on, what you listen to, and what you expose yourself to while sleeping still shapes your thoughts.
  • A Chinese proverb confirms this principle: do not think evil toward yourself or speak evil toward yourself, because the inner warrior is listening.
  • Thoughts and imagination set you up for tomorrow — they are never passive, never idle, and never neutral.

"Your brain may be asleep, but your soul is still awake. It's still hearing."

Key Definitions

Mother Tongue — The language of origin; the original language through which God communicates, distinct from earthly or angelic languages.

God's Language — The spiritual communication system of God, operating in the realms of both speech and thought/imagination, which is the medium through which He reveals His thoughts and purposes.

Imagination — The faculty of the soul that puts pictures to thoughts, enabling a person to see themselves doing something before they do it; the dimension through which God's future purposes are perceived and received.

Intention — The true inner direction of the heart as revealed through thought and imagination; what God actually examines when you pray, as distinguished from the outward words you speak.

Morality — Standards of conduct shaped by culture and generation; important but not equivalent to God's law, because they are variable and time-dependent rather than eternal.

Spirituality — Alignment with the unchanging ways and laws of God, accessed not through cultural conformity or religious knowledge but through the grace and Spirit of God.

Key Takeaways

  • The ways of God are hidden and require grace to access — religious education and moral discipline alone will never reveal the mind of God; it takes the Spirit of God to plant your feet in the right place.
  • Earthly language is partly demonic in origin — this is why it is easier to sin with your tongue than to speak to God, and why aligning your inner language with God's thoughts is essential.
  • God judges intention, not declaration — your thoughts and imagination reveal the true direction of your heart, and God examines those before He considers your words.
  • Every thought is a prophetic statement about your future — thinking positively and imagining correctly is not optional; it is how you come into alignment with God's language.
  • Living in the past is spiritual torment — letting go of hurts, losses, and old attachments is what opens your hands and your future to what God has already ordained.

Reflection Questions

  1. If God examines your thoughts and intentions rather than your declarations, what would He find when He looks at what you have been thinking about this week?
  2. Are there declarations you have been speaking over your life that your inner imagination directly contradicts? What does that gap reveal about the true state of your alignment with God?
  3. What from your past — a loss, a hurt, a relationship, a disappointment — are you still living in? What is it costing you in terms of the future God has ordained?
  4. What are you consistently exposing your soul to while awake and asleep — and is that content shaping your imagination toward God's language or away from it?
  5. If positive thinking already draws you closer to God than prayerless negativity, what specific thought patterns would need to change for you to begin speaking God's mother tongue?

Prayers and Declarations

Spiritual Warfare Declaration

"Demons must leave in the name of Jesus and never return. You are going to leave him and never return in the name of Jesus. Your battle is not with me as with Jesus. If you can overcome him, then maybe you can overcome him. But that's impossible. So, leave him and never return. Come out! You are free. In the name of Jesus, never return. From today, you are free."

Say this after me:

"Today I let go of hurts, of the past, of relationships that you took away, of my cereal things, but cereal, that you took away. I am okay with it, Lord. You know better. You know Ben, I prophesied success and more success. I will see. Increase upon increase. I will see. Elevation upon elevation. I will see. Acceleration upon acceleration. I will see. In the name of Jesus."
