NOW: The Month of the Gift of Faith

NOW: The Month of the Gift of Faith

Teaching by Prophet Lovy L. Elias · Watch on YouTube · 4 June 2025

God has already favored you — and the greatest gift He gives is faith, the language through which He works all things through you.

Faith is not something you earn through prayer or fasting — it is something God gives to those He has favored. This month carries a divine assignment: God is releasing the gift of faith, the greatest of all spiritual gifts, because it positions you to please Him in everything and manifest the fullness of Christ in every situation. To walk in this gift, you must understand that He is living through you, and you are simply His vehicle.

Teaching Overview

  1. Faith is the language of God.
  2. Faith revealed to them that everything you see was framed by the word of God.

The Difference Between Asking for Favor and Being Favored

  • Asking God for favor is a petition — a person coming before God requesting His blessing on a specific situation or venture.
  • Being favored by God is a divine decision — God Himself looks at an individual and chooses to fulfill His mission through them.
  • When God decides to favor you, it is no longer about you — it is about God's mission in you, and you cannot disqualify yourself from it.

"When God decides to favor you, it is no longer about you. It is about God's mission in you and you cannot do anything to disqualify yourself."

Why God Favors Certain People

  • No one can please God through their own righteousness — it is only through Jesus Christ that anyone is made pleasing to God.
  • God plants something in a person that draws His own attention to them — something they may not even be aware of, but which He placed inside them.
  • Being favored does not mean you are the only one pleasing God — God, out of His own sovereign heart, selects specific individuals to fulfill specific purposes.

"If God favors you, if he favors you because he has fallen in love with you. But there is something that is attracting God to you, that he himself has planted in you, that you may not even be aware of, but he has already put it inside of you."

Faith as the Language of God

  • Faith is the language of God because faith does not demand — faith commands.
  • Faith justified the elders — not because they were good, but because faith gave them a good report before God.
  • Faith gives insight into how God speaks, because what God spoke framed everything that is visible.

"Faith is the language of God. Faith does not demand faith commands. Because faith is the very nature and the language of God."

Faith Versus Belief

  • Believing God is not the same as having faith — even Satan believes that God exists and trembles, yet has no faith in God.
  • Faith is the total conviction in God's ability to do anything — not the memorization of Scripture.
  • The evidence of faith is that when you open your mouth before God, you already see the results, because you know His power.

"Faith is not the memorization of Scripture. Faith has to do with the revelation of understanding that God is able to do anything. And that with God, nothing, absolutely nothing is impossible."

The Gift of Faith

  • The gift of faith is the greatest spiritual gift — because when God gives it to you, you can please Him and whatever you ask, you receive.
  • When you have the gift of faith, you manifest the fullness of Christ — not just a portion, as with healing or miracles.
  • With the gift of faith, you move beyond the limitations of faith by hearing and enter into God's own faith — seeing beyond time and natural reality.

"If God gives you the gift of faith, you can please Him and whatever you ask you get."

Walking in God's Faith — Paul's Example

  • Paul operated not through his own faith but through the faith of the Son of God — "the life I live in the flesh, I live through the faith of the Son of God."
  • The incredible miracles God did through Paul's hands were a result of this surrender — a total reliance that left the human atmosphere and entered solely into God's ability.
  • God's faith operating through a yielded vessel is what produces extraordinary results — not personal spiritual discipline alone.

"Everything he did in the flesh, he did it through the faith of the son of God. He never did it of his own faith. He never did it of his own capacity. There was a reliance that escaped the human atmosphere and entered solely into God's ability."

How to Receive the Gift of Faith

  • The gift of faith is not accessed through fasting or praying without ceasing — it comes through understanding that God is living and you are His vehicle.
  • The key to walking in this gift is surrender — "get out of the way, because it is He that makes you to will and to do of His good pleasure."
  • Things that appear impossible are often God trying to manifest His power through you — the biggest hindrance is not Satan but the failure to yield.

"What puts you in the gift of faith is to understand that He is living. And you are simply a vehicle of the spirit that is dwelling within you. Get out of the way."

Favor Makes You a Benefit to Others

  • The manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit everyone — if no one can benefit from what you carry, God did not send you.
  • Joseph's favor made him a benefit everywhere he was placed — in Potiphar's house, in prison, and in the palace.
  • When God favors you and puts His Spirit in you, you become a solution carrier to other people's burdens, regardless of your own circumstances.

"Whether you are in the pits, whether you are in the prison, whether you are in a dry season, whether you are in the desert, if God favors you, he puts his spirit in you. You begin to be a benefit."

Key Definitions

Favor (Being Favored) — A sovereign decision by God — not initiated by human petition — in which He selects an individual to fulfill His mission through them, making them pleasing to Himself and placing His Spirit upon them.

Faith — The total conviction in God's ability to do anything; not intellectual agreement or Scripture memorization, but a God-given gift that operates as His own language and enables a person to please Him and receive whatever they ask.

The Gift of Faith — A specific spiritual gift listed in 1 Corinthians 12 that enables the believer to manifest the fullness of Christ, see beyond natural reality and time, and speak with commanding authority — not from personal capacity but from God's own faith operating through them.

Commanding vs. Demanding — Commanding is speaking from a posture of favor and total conviction, expecting results without negotiation. Demanding is pressing God from a posture of need and uncertainty, which reflects the absence of the gift of faith.

Faith by Hearing — A developed level of trust that grows through hearing and meditating on the Word of God; valuable, but limited — it can still accept defeat as God's will when results are not immediately visible.

God's Faith (Faith of the Son of God) — The faith of Christ Himself, operating through a fully surrendered believer who has gotten out of the way; the level of faith Paul walked in, which produced extraordinary miracles beyond human capacity.

Key Takeaways

  • There is a difference between asking God for favor and God favoring you — when God decides to favor you, it is His sovereign mission operating through you, and nothing can disqualify you from it.
  • Faith is the language of God — it commands rather than demands — understanding this distinction transforms how you approach God and how you expect results.
  • The gift of faith is the greatest spiritual gift — because it allows you to please God fully and positions you to receive whatever you ask, manifesting the fullness of Christ rather than only a portion.
  • You are a vehicle of the Spirit, not the source — surrendering your own effort and understanding that God is living through you is what unlocks the gift of faith in this season.
  • God's favor makes you a benefit everywhere you are placed — like Joseph, your circumstances do not limit God's ability to work through you when He has favored you.

Reflection Questions

  1. Are you currently relating to God primarily from a posture of asking for favor — or are you living in the reality that He has already favored you? What would change in how you pray and act if you truly believed you were already favored?
  2. Have you been confusing belief with faith? In what areas of your life have you acknowledged that God can act, yet not walked in the full conviction that He will — and what has that cost you?
  3. What impossible thing in your life have you dismissed as "not God's will" — when God may actually be stretching you from your faith into His faith? What would it look like to stop accepting that limitation?
  4. Are you operating as a solution carrier to others, or are you still focused solely on your own needs? Who in your life is waiting for the gift God has placed in you to become a benefit to them?
  5. In what specific area do you need to "get out of the way" this month and stop relying on your own effort, discipline, or understanding — and instead yield to the Spirit living within you?

Prayers and Declarations

Opening Prayer

"Father, we thank you in the name of Jesus. Your Holy Son and your only Son. We thank you for your mercy, we thank you for your goodness. We thank you that you do not change. We thank you that you remain the same. We thank you that you love and your mercy is everlasting. We thank you that Father, no matter how far we fall, your hand is able to redeem us and to rescue us. Father, we said our eyes on you because you are our help in time of need. So, Father, we turn our hearts towards you and we cry unto you all Lord. That we may find mercy in our time of need. Lord, we are all in need today. We are in need of your grace, we are in need of your strength, we are in need of your healing, we are in need of your deliverance, we are in need consistently of Father. Show us mercy today. Lord Jesus, Son of God, have mercy on us. Show us your goodness and your kindness. Redeem us and rescue us all Lord. Back unto yourself. In the name of Jesus and everybody said, Amen."

Congregational repetition — spoken over all hearing:

"And the angel of the Lord said unto revelation, said unto everyone hearing my voice right now, fear not for thou has found favour with God."

Congregational repetition — spoken four times:

"For with God, nothing shall be impossible. For with God, nothing shall be impossible. For with God, nothing shall be impossible. For with God, nothing shall be impossible."

Prophetic declaration over the congregation:

"I'm here to announce to you. Your season is changing. Because of God's favor."
