Pisteuo: The Highest Level of Faith Operates from Oneness with Christ

Pisteuo [Highest Level Of Faith] · Part 4 of 4

← Part 3
Teaching by Prophet Lovy L. Elias · Watch on YouTube · 21 November 2019

True faith is not a prayer you send to a distant God — it is the power of One who lives in you, speaking through you.

Faith at its highest level does not function from a posture of separation from God. It functions from the revelation that you are the body of Christ — merged with Him, carrying His mind, and manifesting His authority in the earth as Elijah did. Until that oneness becomes your operating reality, the power of faith remains inaccessible.

Teaching Overview

  1. You are the body of Christ — not a separate entity from Him — and this oneness is the foundation of true faith.
  2. Seeing yourself as separated from Christ immediately disqualifies you from functioning in the highest level of faith.
  3. Elijah operated as a God-man — the embodiment of God in his time — which is the pattern for believers who carry the mind of Christ.
  4. The mind of Christ is not merely the thoughts of God; it encompasses His character, attitude, and tendencies — producing an entirely different mode of existence.
  5. Meditation on your oneness with the Lord Jesus is the practical pathway to renewing the mind and activating the power of faith.

God's Glory Requires a Vessel

  • God cannot be glorified in the realm of man unless a man is glorified first, because no one can see a spirit — they see the person through whom the Spirit works.
  • He makes believers known so that He may be known through them.
  • The true desire of a prophet is not to express personal opinion but to let Jesus be glorified — personal opinion cannot save, change, or take anyone anywhere.

"God cannot be glorified unless you are glorified. So He has to glorify you for Him to be glorified. Because in the realm of man, nobody can see a spirit — it is invisible. But once He works through a man and you see the man, then now you are able to see Him."

The Challenge of Elijah and the Prophets of Baal

  • The prophets of Baal agreed to Elijah's challenge because it was something they themselves could perform — God does not prove Himself by doing something beyond your capacity; He must outdo you where your best is.
  • Elijah was not simply one man outnumbered by many — he was the embodiment of Elohim in his time, and when you saw Elijah you saw God, because he was speaking and acting entirely on God's behalf.
  • Elijah already knew how to control fire and was not simply praying for a miracle — he was challenging the prophets of Baal to a contest he had mastered.

"Elijah is challenging them with something. Let's see who can really control it."

The True Meaning of "If Two or Three Are Gathered"

  • The verse does not mean that gathering in prayer causes God to enter — it means God was already in their midst as the cause and center of the gathering.
  • Nobody can come to God unless He calls them — the initiative is always His.

"If two or three are gathered, I am in their midst, I am the center of it, I am the cause of it."

Every Human Being Has Power Over the Elements

  • Every human being has the power to control the four elements, but the elements only respond to spiritual people — because every living thing carries the Spirit of God, which is what makes it alive.
  • This is why a believer can speak to a mountain, a tree, or their finances — and why higher-level spiritual forces, including those in witchcraft, can transmit curses through natural elements like the sun.
  • Elijah had mastered the pasture of fire — the prophets of Baal were serving spirits, but Elijah represented Elohim, the Father of all spirits, from Whom everything came.

"That is why you can speak to a mountain. That's why you can speak to a tree. That's why you can speak to your finances."

The Body as a Spiritual Antenna

  • The human body is literally an antenna — it resonates different spiritual frequencies, and the brain reads those resonances as perception, even when the natural ear or eye cannot detect them.
  • Seraphs having eyes all over their bodies does not mean literal eyeballs — it means they have different awareness across different dimensions of perception.
  • The reason most believers do not see in the spirit is not incapacity but lack of consciousness — the spiritual eyes are present but not activated.

"When it's telling you the seraphims have eyes all over their body, what it is telling you is that they can perceive. They have different awareness in different dimension."

"Man of God" Means God-Man

  • The Hebrew behind "man of God" does not mean "a man that belongs to God" — it means God manifesting Himself through a man: a God-man.
  • English translators rendered it "man of God" because "God-man" was considered blasphemous in their religious context — but the original meaning is that the person carrying this title is not functioning as a mere human.
  • Similarly, the verse in Psalm 8 does not say man was made lower than angels — the original text says man was made lower than Elohim, and translators substituted "angels" to make it seem less controversial.

"If I truly be a God-man, let fire fall from heaven."

"You have made man a little lower than God Himself."

Elisha's Transformation: From Prophet to Man of God

  • When Elisha was first anointed, he carried the title "Prophet Elisha" — but once he received the spirit of Elijah, the title "Prophet" was removed and he was called only "Elisha" or "Man of God."
  • The sons of the prophets retained the title of Prophet — confirming that Elisha had moved into an entirely different dimension beyond the prophetic office.
  • The captain who came against Elijah ultimately fell on his knees and called himself Elijah's servant — because a man who can call down fire controls a kingdom without holding a position in it.

"He was anointed, became a prophet. Then he received the spirit of the major prophet. He was no longer a prophet. Because the person who took his spirit was not just a prophet. He became something else."

You Are the Body of Christ — Not Separate From Him

  • The Bible declares believers are the body of Christ — meaning Jesus is present in Africa, Asia, India, and every place on earth because His body is there.
  • The reason believers fail to function in the power of faith is that they perceive themselves as a separate entity from God rather than as His body.
  • It is no longer the believer who lives — it is Christ who lives in them; the body is a house, and the One inside the house is the owner who controls everything external.

"Your body is simply a house. The one who is controlling the house is the person that is inside the house."

Separation from Christ Disqualifies Faith

  • Faith at the highest level — pisteuo — does not wait for God's response; it operates as if God is the One speaking right now, because He is.
  • When a believer still perceives themselves as separate from Christ, they automatically disqualify themselves from functioning in this level of faith.
  • The question faith asks is not "what will God say?" but "what is God saying right now?" — about your finances, your family, your life, this moment.

"When you see yourself separated from Christ, immediately you disqualify yourself from the pasture of faith."

The Mind of Christ vs. the Thoughts of God

  • Believers tend to ask for God's thoughts — but God desires to give His mind, which is far greater, because the mind generates character, tendencies, patterns, and attitudes, not just individual thoughts.
  • Having the mind of Christ means having His character, His attitude, and His thought patterns — not searching for Him, but manifesting Him.
  • When a demon possesses someone, it places its own mind in the person — the person then thinks, desires, and acts from that mind; the same principle applies when Christ's mind dwells in a believer.

"If I have the mind of Christ, I will have His character, I will have His attitude, I will have His thoughts. I will have everything that makes Him Him. So I no longer look for Him. I just manifest Him."

Meditation on Oneness as Daily Practice

  • The practical work of operating in this level of faith begins with daily meditation on the declaration: "Me and the Lord Jesus are one. I have His mind."
  • As this truth is meditated upon and reinforced through the Word and prayer, a believer's reflex becomes spiritual — the first response to any situation is no longer natural but spiritual.
  • False humility is the barrier — treating oneness with God as presumption or blasphemy, when in fact Jesus Himself "thought it not robbery to be equal with God," and believers are conceived by the same Holy Spirit.

"You need to start meditating and start telling yourself, me and the Lord Jesus are one. I have His mind. I have His mind in everything that I would do. My decisions will be as if the Lord is doing it."

Key Definitions

Pisteuo — The highest level of faith; a Greek term indicating complete trust and full identification with the one believed in — functioning not from separation but from oneness with Christ.

God-Man (Man of God) — The Hebrew concept behind "man of God" — not a man who merely belongs to God or serves Him, but God manifesting Himself through a man; a merged, unified identity between the divine and the human vessel.

Mind of Christ — Not merely individual thoughts received from God, but the full inner framework of Christ — His character, attitudes, tendencies, and patterns — given to the believer so that they no longer search for Him but manifest Him.

Pasture (Pisteuo) of Faith — The operational domain of the highest level of faith, which only functions when a believer understands and accepts their oneness with Christ — it does not wait on a future word from God but operates from present divine identity.

Seraphim — Heavenly beings that function with prophets; described as having "eyes all over their body," meaning they carry multi-dimensional spiritual awareness and perception across every plane of existence. Also called "flames of fire."

Prophetic Gift vs. Prophet vs. Man of God — Three distinct levels: the prophetic gift is a measure given by the Spirit; the office of prophet is conferred through anointing; the title "man of God" (God-man) indicates a transformation beyond the prophetic office into full embodiment of the divine through the spirit of a major prophet.

Key Takeaways

  • You are the body of Christ, not a separate entity from Him — this is not a metaphor but a functional reality; Christ is present wherever His body is, and His power flows through His body.
  • Seeing yourself as separate from Christ disqualifies you from the highest level of faith — faith at the pisteuo level can only operate from a posture of oneness, not from the outside looking in at God.
  • God desires to give you His mind, not just His thoughts — thoughts are temporary; the mind of Christ transforms character, reflex, and pattern, producing a believer who manifests Jesus rather than searching for Him.
  • "Man of God" is not a title of service but a declaration of identity — it means God-man: God manifesting through a human being, which is the full expression of what every believer is called to become.
  • Meditation on oneness with Christ is the pathway to renewing the mind — this is not passive doctrine but an active daily practice that reshapes your reflexes, your decisions, and your entire inner life.

Reflection Questions

  1. When you pray or step into spiritual activity, do you approach God as a separate being you are reaching out to — or as the One who lives in you and through whom you already operate? What would change if your posture shifted?
  2. Is there an area of your life — finances, family, ministry, health — where you have been asking God what He will say, rather than declaring what He is saying right now? What does that reveal about how you perceive your union with Him?
  3. The teaching identifies false humility as the barrier to accepting oneness with Christ. In what ways have you treated spiritual authority or identity as presumptuous rather than as your birthright in Christ?
  4. How consistently do you meditate on the truth that you and the Lord Jesus are one? What practical step can you take this week to make this a daily discipline?
  5. Elisha's transformation from "Prophet Elisha" to "Man of God" came through receiving the spirit of the one he served. Who are you sitting under, and is what you are receiving from them moving you toward a deeper dimension of God — or keeping you at the same level?

Prayers and Declarations

Opening Blessing

"The Lord will bless each and every one of you at this time and at this hour with every good gift that you have been believing God for."
