The Hidden Power of the Soul: Reprogramming Your Mind to Think Like God

The Hidden Power of the Soul: Reprogramming Your Mind to Think Like God

The Hidden Power of the Soul · Part 2 of 2

Teaching by Prophet Lovy L. Elias · Watch on YouTube · 9 April 2020

Until truth moves from what you consciously believe into what your subconscious knows, you are still living under deception.

The soul is the most underestimated battleground in the Christian life. God did not come to save your spirit alone — He came to save your soul, because it is your soul that governs how you think, what you believe, and how you live. The renewing of the mind is not optional theology; it is the mechanism by which the mind of Christ enters and transforms your existence from the inside out.

Teaching Overview

  1. Faith and fear operate by the same mechanism — both are powered by information you believe deeply enough to act on.
  2. The soul is divided into mind, will, and emotion — and the mind itself has three levels: the conscious mind, the subconscious mind, and the mind of Christ.
  3. The natural human heart is not sinful by origin but has been programmed by a world system of deception, making the renewing of the mind essential.
  4. Truth is not found through personal seeking or religious effort — it is found only in Christ, and it must move from conscious belief into subconscious knowing to be transformative.
  5. Reprogramming the subconscious through daily Scripture meditation is the foundation that must be laid before the mind of Christ can dwell in you and change your physical life.

The Soul and Its Structure

  • A human being cannot be spiritual without the soul — this is why God came to save the soul, because it is of great value and instrumental in His eyes.
  • The soul is divided into three parts: mind, will, and emotion — and the mind itself is divided into the conscious mind, the subconscious mind, and the mind of Christ.
  • Neglecting the soul is neglecting the spiritual life entirely.

"Anybody that neglects their soul, neglects their spiritual life."

Faith and Fear Operate by the Same Mechanism

  • Faith and fear are powered by the same engine — deeply held information that you act on.
  • Faith is empowered by truth believed to the point of reflex; fear is a spirit empowered by false information believed with equal force.
  • You function according to what you acknowledge and feed.

"Faith and fear are exactly the same thing. Fear and faith are all fed by knowledge that you possess."

The Heart Is Programmed, Not Born Corrupt

  • The heart is deceitful above all things not because it was born sinful, but because it has received a deceptive program from the world system it was raised in.
  • Adam and Eve were not sinners when created — they were deceived, and that pattern of deception is the true origin of the problem.
  • Christ Himself carried human DNA from His mother and yet was without sin, proving that the problem is not biological origin but the deception that leads into sin.

"The heart has received a program that is deceitful. So it has become deceived on its own."

The World Is Built on Deception

  • The god of this world is the devil, whose primary title is not Father of killers or Father of thieves — it is Father of all lies, because all stealing and killing flow from deception.
  • Every human being born into the world has been living under a system of deception — this is why the Bible says we are in the world but not of it.
  • Life's true purpose cannot be found in money, career, fame, or family — these things are left behind at death; the only purpose that exceeds them is realising God.

"The devil is a deceiver. That's why the Bible calls him Father of what? All lies. Because stealing, killing, all of that come because of what? Lies."

Truth Is Only Found in Christ

  • There is no truth outside of Christ — not through philosophy, self-help, science, or even sincere seeking, because a seeker without God is only seeking what aligns with the deception already inside them.
  • Self-described truth seekers are not finding truth — they are finding what confirms the program already within them.
  • The truth may confront and hurt, but it heals, restores, and transforms you into what God intended.

"There is no truth without Christ. There is no truth without God. It doesn't exist. That is what the Lord Jesus said. I am the truth."

Vain Prayer vs. Prayer in Truth

  • Jesus did not warn against long prayer — He warned against vain repetitions, the prayer of the deceived who think their words will move God.
  • God does not act because you did something — He acts because He loves you, and you tap into that love by entering into His mind, not by performing rituals before Him.
  • The length of prayer is not determined by words — it is determined by burden, and when God gives a burden, His Spirit carries the weight of the prayer.

"The length of prayer is not because of the words, it's because of the burden."

The Conscious Mind and the Subconscious Mind

  • The conscious mind is your active, present awareness — it can be turned off; the subconscious mind never stops, governing breathing, physical responses, and automatic behaviours even during sleep.
  • Children cannot be tempted by the devil because their database is still largely empty — temptation draws on desires and experiences already programmed into the subconscious.
  • The subconscious can be trained and retrained — focus problems, fear patterns, and destructive habits are all subconscious programmes, not fixed character traits.

"The problem is there is a wrong program inside the subconscious."

The Wisdom of God vs. The Wisdom of This World

  • There are two wisdoms operating in the world: the wisdom of God, which is a mystery hidden in Christ and revealed only by His Spirit, and the wisdom of this world, which is the wisdom of ignorance.
  • The princes of this world crucified Jesus because they were full of ignorance — the devil is not the prince of power but the prince of darkness, meaning the prince of ignorance.
  • The things God has prepared for those who love Him have not been seen, heard, or entered the heart of man — they are only revealed by His Spirit, not through religious performance or human reasoning.

"But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery. Even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory."

How to Reprogram the Subconscious Through Meditation

  • Reprogramming begins with the first affirmation: Philippians 4:13 — spoken aloud, not read silently, repeated morning and evening for one hour each, before checking any phone or social media.
  • The goal is to move truth from the conscious mind — where it is merely believed — into the subconscious, where it becomes knowing and functions as natural reflex.
  • On the second day, a personalized scripture targeting your specific area of bondage (fear, weakness, loss) is added alongside Philippians 4:13 — not ten scriptures, one scripture, spoken personally and specifically.

"The knowing is faith. I don't believe God is good, I know He is good."

The Foundation That Changes Your Physical Life

  • The subconscious must be renewed and cleared before the mind of Christ can enter and merge with your mind — new wine cannot go into an old wineskin.
  • Foundation work is invisible, slow, and deep — but the moment you begin working on it, your physical life starts changing, because the hidden things are where everything manifested is established.
  • This is not merely a spiritual practice — it is the gateway through which God's thoughts become your thoughts and His ways become your ways.

"The moment you start working on foundation, you realize your physical life starts changing."

Key Definitions

Soul — The part of a human being that makes spiritual life possible; divided into mind, will, and emotion — and the mind itself into the conscious mind, the subconscious mind, and the mind of Christ.

Conscious mind — The active, present awareness of a person — the part of the mind that can be turned off during sleep, that thinks deliberately and intentionally.

Subconscious mind — The deep, always-operating programme of the mind that governs automatic responses, habits, breathing, and behaviour without conscious thought — built through accumulated experience and information.

Mind of Christ — The prophetic dimension of the mind; God's thoughts and ways merged with the believer's own mind through renewal — received by the Holy Spirit, not produced by human effort.

Faith — Right information believed so deeply it becomes reflex; not merely intellectual agreement but subconscious knowing that produces automatic alignment with God.

Fear — A spirit fed by false information believed with such force that it empowers the wrong and produces outcomes aligned with the lie.

Deception — The foundational condition of the unreneewed human heart — not a moral failing by nature but a program received from a world system governed by the father of all lies.

Key Takeaways

  • Faith and fear operate by the same mechanism — whichever one you feed with information is the one that will govern your life, making what you dwell on daily more important than any single prayer.
  • The heart is not born corrupt — it is programmed by deception — this means the program can be changed, and God's entire desire is to remove you from that deception through the renewing of your mind.
  • Truth exists only in Christ — seeking truth outside of Him leads only deeper into the program already inside you, because the deceived cannot self-diagnose their way to freedom.
  • The subconscious must be reprogrammed before the mind of Christ can dwell in you — clearing the old wine from the old wineskin is not optional preparation; it is the foundation everything else is built upon.
  • Daily spoken meditation on personalised Scripture is the mechanism of transformation — when truth moves from conscious belief into subconscious knowing, obedience becomes natural, not effortful.

Reflection Questions

  1. What information are you currently feeding most consistently — and is it producing faith or fear in your life?
  2. If the subconscious governs what you do automatically and without thinking, what does your automatic behaviour reveal about what has actually been programmed inside you?
  3. What is the number one area of your life — fear, anger, addiction, self-doubt, lust — that has kept you in bondage, and have you ever addressed the subconscious program behind it rather than only the surface behaviour?
  4. How different would your prayer life look if you truly believed God acts out of love and not because of what you perform before Him?
  5. What specific step will you take this week to begin the morning and evening meditation practice — and what is the one scripture you will start with?

Prayers and Declarations

Speak aloud to yourself, morning and evening for one hour each, beginning with this:

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Then personalise it — add what specifically applies to you:

"Jesus is my strength. Yes, every time I will ever be weak, He will be my strength. In fact, there will never be weakness. How can there be weakness if Jesus is my strength? Meaning I don't need to use my own strength. Jesus is my strength."

For those whose number one struggle is fear, add this declaration on the second day:

"I will never be afraid again. God is with me. Angels are with me. He has never left me. He has never forgotten me. He has never forsaken me. I can never be afraid. Why should I be afraid? When I didn't have rent, He provided. When I didn't have mortgage, He provided. I have a roof over my head. I have always something to eat. I have something to put on. I am not on the streets. I don't need to be afraid. God who kept me since I was a child, until now You continue to keep me."

Closing Prayer

"Father, I pray for everybody that is watching together with my sons. I pray that Lord, you give them the ability to be able to meditate. I pray for the grace that their minds will be renewed according to your word, that they will truly become a new creation. They will realize that thing that has already been done in their spirit, in their soul so that we may be able to do that which is perfect to prove that which is perfect in this world. That man will know that you are God that is able. I bless them, I increase them, I multiply them in every single way in Jesus' mighty name. I pray that every demon that will try to stand in their way not to accomplish this, they are already defeated in Jesus' name. I thank you my father and my Lord for your good and able in Jesus name amen."
