The real spirit operating behind Jezebel is Baal, a high-ranked demonic power that infiltrates through false teaching, occult initiation, and governmental influence. Until the Church identifies the true enemy, it will continue waging war against a decoy.

Targeting the flesh gives demonic spirits coverage — the spirit of Baal is protected every time a believer goes after the visible person instead of the spiritual power.

The name Jezebel itself means to abstain from anything unclean — to not give yourself up; it carries a meaning of purity.
Jezebel does not come as a sexually seductive spirit — she comes appearing extra pure, extra righteous, with no visible manifestation of God or genuine godliness.
Believers who are waiting to identify Jezebel by sexual seduction will miss her entirely, because she arrives wearing the appearance of holiness.

Jezebel Comes Through False Teaching

Revelation 2:20 reveals that when the spirit of Jezebel operates, it comes in the form of teaching — it calls itself a prophetess and claims to be sent from God.
The seduction Revelation describes is not sexual — the Greek meaning of "seduce" is to cause someone to give their body up to another function, to programme them through teaching without their awareness.
Teaching is the seduction: false doctrine programmes the believer to act contrary to God's will while the believer believes they are doing what is right.

Jezebel's assignment is not against marriages, husbands, or wives — what is operating in those situations is a spirit of lust, not Jezebel.
Jezebel's exclusive target is the prophets, the preachers, and the Church — her objective is to corrupt the teaching coming from those who speak on behalf of God.
Revelation 2:20 confirms this: Jesus addresses the spirit seducing "my servants" — the ministers — not the congregation's personal relationships.
