If It Wasn't for God: The Predestined Life You Cannot Disqualify Yourself From

Teaching by Prophet Lovy L. Elias · Watch on YouTube · 12 March 2025

God ordained you before the foundation of the world — and nothing you have done, suffered, or feared can undo what He has already settled.

Every struggle, every setback, and every season of lack has been working within a plan God established before you were born. You did not earn your place in His heart, and you cannot lose it — because your journey with God began long before you became aware of it.

Teaching Overview

  1. God predestined you before the foundation of the world, and your blessings are not contingent on your obedience or disqualified by your failures.
  2. Everything you need — children, provision, healing, elevation — was already placed within you at creation.
  3. God creates problems and allows seasons of lack to draw you closer to Him and cause you to discover what He has already placed inside you.
  4. You cannot be lonely as long as you have God, because loneliness is the absence of God — not the absence of people.
  5. God has made a distinction between you and your sin, and His love for you is not hindered by your shortcomings.

Predestination: Established Before You Were Born

  • God foreknew you, predestined you, called you, justified you, and glorified you — this is a completed chain, not a conditional one.
  • Your journey with Elohim, Jehovah, El Shaddai, and the King of Kings did not begin when you became aware of it — it was established before you were created.
  • God did not begin to fight for you, protect you, or bless you when you found Jesus — He was already doing all of this because He predestined you.

"Everything that God is doing for you through you, the visible and the invisible is because you are predestined."

You Cannot Disqualify Yourself

  • Many believers judge God's blessing based on their obedience — and when things go wrong, they conclude that their failures caused God to withhold from them.
  • This error reveals a failure to understand predestination — God's decision to bless you was made before you existed and is not undone by your shortcomings.
  • No matter what the enemy does against you, he has already lost, because you were victorious before the battle even began.

"You cannot disqualify yourself from what God has predestined."

God Has Made a Distinction Between You and Your Sin

  • God does not like sin, but He has made a clear distinction between you and your sin — you are not your mistakes, you are not your shortcomings.
  • God separated your sin from you as far as the East is from the West — these two ends cannot meet.
  • God's ability to love you despite sin is not a weakness — it is proof of His power, because He alone can redeem and cleanse what sin has affected.

"God has made a distinction between us and sin. God has separated us from our sins like the East to the West. This to ends cannot be."

Everything You Need Was Already Placed Within You at Creation

  • When God created you, He already created you with your children, your home, your business, and every provision you have been praying for.
  • God gave us everything pertaining to life and godliness — the issue is not that it is missing, but that you are judging your journey by your natural circumstances rather than by the spirit.
  • Just as Adam could only think of something that already existed within creation, the fact that you can think of what you desire is evidence that it already exists for you.

"When God created you, he created you with everything that you ever need."

God Creates Problems to Draw You Closer to Him

  • 99% of your problems were orchestrated by God — not to destroy you, but to draw you to Him and cause you to discover what He has already placed inside you.
  • Job's suffering was not Satan's victory — God permitted it by design to reveal Job's predestined nature and to draw him deeper into the knowledge of God.
  • Everything you are going through has been used by God intentionally to draw you closer to Him and to cause you to discover Him.

"99% of your problems, God did it. Because he wants you to find him."

Alone vs. Lonely: The Distinction That Changes Everything

  • Adam was alone — he had no equal among creation — but he was not lonely, because loneliness is the absence of God, and God was with him.
  • A believer can be alone and still long for human companionship without being in a state of loneliness, because God never leaves nor forsakes us.
  • Those in hell are surrounded by multitudes and yet are profoundly lonely — because God is absent, there is no encouragement, no hope, and no comfort in shared suffering.

"We can be alone but we can't be lonely because loneliness is the absence of God."

God's Provision Is Abundant and Costs You Nothing

  • El Shaddai — the Many-Breasted One — is a name that reveals God's capacity to fully provide for every one of His children simultaneously, without the provision for one diminishing another's.
  • Just as an animal has exactly enough breasts to feed every cub it carries, God's supply for you does not come at the expense of anyone beside you.
  • Every jealousy toward the blessings God gives another person is demonic and satanic — it is rooted in the lie that God must put someone down in order to lift you up.

"If God can make you a billionaire, He can make me a trillionaire, it won't cost you a dime."

Stop Resisting the Glory God Has Ordained for You

  • Scripture declares that those God justified, He also glorified — this is not a future possibility but an already-completed act.
  • Many believers resist God's glory over their lives because they do not believe they deserve it — but God is not waiting for your worthiness; He has already decided.
  • Stop finding reasons why you cannot be blessed — God does not recognise the disqualifications you are presenting, because He already settled your case before you arrived.

"Why you resisting God glorifying you? God is saying, I will glorify you."

Key Definitions

Predestination — God's sovereign decision, made before the foundation of the world, to foreknow, call, justify, and glorify you — a completed chain that is not contingent on your obedience or nullified by your failures.

Loneliness — The absence of God. Loneliness is not the absence of people — a believer can be alone and still desire companionship while remaining free from loneliness as long as God is present.

Justified — Declared righteous and eligible for every blessing by God Himself; anything that previously disqualified you has been turned into a reason for God to bless, heal, deliver, and elevate you.

El Shaddai — The Many-Breasted One; the name of God that reveals His capacity to fully provide for every child simultaneously without the provision for one diminishing another's.

Alone — The state of being without other people, which a believer can experience even in the presence of God. Adam was alone — without an equal among creation — but he was not lonely.

Predestined Glory — The glorification God has already ordained over your life, which you have no grounds to resist, because it is rooted in God's sovereign purpose, not in your merit.

Key Takeaways

  • You were predestined before the foundation of the world — Your relationship with God did not begin when you were born again; it was established long before you came into existence, and nothing you do can undo it.
  • You cannot disqualify yourself from what God has predestined — Your failures, sins, and shortcomings do not have the power to remove you from the blessing God decided to give you before you existed.
  • God places everything you need within you at creation — The provision, the children, the home, the business you have been praying for are not outside you waiting to arrive; they were placed in you before you were born.
  • God uses your problems by design to draw you closer to Him — Your suffering is not random and it is not punishment; it is a divinely orchestrated instrument to cause you to discover God and what He has already placed inside you.
  • Loneliness is the absence of God, not the absence of people — As long as you have God, you cannot be lonely — and this truth reframes every season of isolation as an opportunity to find fullness in Him.

Reflection Questions

  1. In what areas of your life are you currently judging God's blessing by your obedience or disqualifying yourself based on past failures — and what would change if you truly believed you cannot be disqualified from what God has predestined?
  2. Is there a problem or painful season you have been resenting or fighting against — and what would it look like to accept that God may have allowed it by design to draw you closer to Him?
  3. Are you resisting God's glory over your life? What reasons are you giving God for why you cannot be elevated, healed, or blessed — and where did those reasons come from?
  4. When you experience loneliness, do you reach first for people or for God? What does your honest answer reveal about where you are looking for fullness?
  5. Is there someone in your life whose blessing has stirred jealousy in you? What does that response reveal about what you truly believe about God's capacity to provide for you without cost to another?

Prayers and Declarations

Declare this aloud:

"Nobody has control over my life. I am in control of your life. I am in control of your life. Except the Lord God Himself."

"Those who are clapping, may all your hearts desires. Those who are praising him. May all your hearts desires. We received in the name of Jesus. I receive. I receive. Thank you."
